I am more worried about what they committed to me. The CO said we would get it within 3 weeks so will that be possible or it would a false statement

Do not worry about it it's just that most visa like 90% of in your country have to go through mandatory Administrative processing......It will change to issue once it is done. Just give it a week or so.

Bro I am confident over it because the interview was very easy the CO did not even asked for the pictures or any evidences but he just asked 3 questions to me. I was with my wife. The worrying thing is He did not used any word liked approved or congratulations, he said you will receive your passport within 3 weeks then before leaving the counter my wife asked him straight away is it approved he said yes and he smiled. So I was just thinking and I am worried over the commitment he made to send my passport within three weeks

Yeah AP usually is that a decision cannot be made as of that day so that is why he did not gave any confirmation....But usually people clear AP if there is nothing to hide or they find something in background. There is a lot of reason for AP.

1. Name check pending.

2. Need to verify some papers you submitted.

etc etc.... but it is very common for your embassy. Just look in the regional forum of CR1 for Pakistan....

Just bought my plane tickets to Canada for my husbands interview. I'm counting on spending my birthday weekend in Canada celebrating our visa approval! Things are moving along, I think I am just going to relax the next 2-3 weeks before finishing getting all the interview documents in order. I have about 85% of our accordion folder labeled and filled with everything the embassy will ask for, and then some. Wait did I just say I am going to relax.. happy day!!

I just got an email saying my case was accepted for expedite processing:

"The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General."

Anyone know what I should do next? or how long to contact the embassy regarding the interview? not sure how quick they send it out to the consulate (MEXICO) if its expedited. I know they closed appointments for March but do you think they have reserved slots for expedites?

Hi dwheels76, we got our CCs on same day, just talked to rep and got the same response(march calendar closed) but I have noticed one thing when I looked over spreadsheet, most of the peoples(my country mates) who got CC between 1 to 10 scheduled for interview in next month. Still not believing rep telling us the truth. Any advice please...

Okay NVC Interview scheduling

Just called NVC to see about March date and the nice lady told me that they were all notified yesterday that March calendar is closed. April assignments will be starting in about 2 weeks (end of month).

I must say I have gotten the most informative and nicest people. Like for me I asked when I called yesterday and they lady broke it down to me for my embassy they stopped on CC 2/2. That was very helpful.

So looks like my June filers peeps are leaving me on the dock of the bay. But ya'll know me I am always at the dock launching all of you off to your love ones.

My wife is going through Pakistan and her status is "Ready" ever since her interview date on Feb. 10. The "last updated" date changed to Feb. 10 but it has stayed on that date since. I truly believe they're going to leave her file just collecting dust until our anniversary date in a few days, just like the CO said. Still makes zero sense to me. Why would they force me to convert my CR-1 to an IR-1 if I didn't mind filing as a CR-1?

I know after all this time that ANY delay is a royal pain in the @$$. But you are saving yourself SO much money and SO much work by getting an IR-1!!! The bad thing is that you were not given a choice. But honestly, I'm getting ready to file to Remove Conditions for our CR-1, and it's ANOTHER nearly $600, not counting the time it's taken me to save papers for two years, and then the pain of organizing, copying, traveling 100 miles for biometrics, and then having to wonder whether or not we'll have to go through an interview.

I wish we had had the option to go IR-1 - but we were way too far away from our 2nd anniversary date.

Best of luck to you - and I'm so sorry you were not given your choice of the CR-1.

I believe fees on a P4 for IR1/CR1 are just clerical errors from NVC.

Mine does not show any fees to pay.

That fee ($165.00) is for the GREEN CARD itself and applies to every one receiving one including IR1/CR1.

If you do not pay it, you never receive one.

Its paid online before or after entering US. Need to open an ELIS account.
