Case Complete to Interview March 2016

Hi Guys,

I've got my interview in 5 days time in sri lanka. any last min suggestions guys, any sri lankans, appreciate if you can post your experience here.

I've got 3 albums ready with photos, one of which explains the story on how this was arranged and our life journey so far, we don't have any joint bank account or assets in sri lanka. and I dont send money to her there, as her parents are there to take care (sending money to US from sri Lanka is difficult and costly). I have given her some money while she was here but she hardly spends it there. if she really needs anything big i get her parents purchase it and return it while they were here back in Sri Lanka.

What I have to prove bona fide relationship are,

- Three albums, (wedding photos, life pics and family pics while she was in sri lanka)

- invoices of gifts I've sent her

- flight tickets and passport stamps proving that she visited sri lanka 3 times to see me,

- Honeymoon tickets and passport stamp

Will this be sufficient enough to prove bona fide relationship ?

In addition, the one who's sponsoring is one of my father in laws family friends, and we have submited tax file for 2014 when submiting AOS to NVC last October. do we have to still carry a tax file?

Appreciate if anyone can respond.

Wake up guys call NVC new delhi has started assigning date i got the date assigned for my case:

Case Complete: 1/19/2016

Interview Scheduled: 3/14/2016

Lol I don't know what on earth caused me to think that Dwheels was done with the process and stayed back to help us through the process ?. Congratulations .

Cuz this ain't my first rodeo. Truth be told first husband 2 weeks before his interview (yes in Lagos) married someone in Nigeria.

I have a question? On the I-864,do we have to notarized before I send over to my spouse for his interview?

I am confused by the NVC (as usual...)

On Feb 2 we received a checklist, dated Jan 29th (asking for a document supposedly missing, but that we sent in). We called immediately, and the very nice rep said: 'yes, your police certificate is here, CASE COMPLETE'

On Feb 5 we received an email with the attachment saying "The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case. The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application." which makes is again seem everything is going fine

However, I still don't see 3N/As on the CEAC website, my Visa Status is still 'At NVC' (shouldn't it be in transit?)... should i be concerned? or just wait for an interview date hoping it will come soon? I am sick of losing time because the NVC...

Does anyone know why the nvc over the phone told me twice that i had a case complete but on my summary page there are no 3NAs???

The 3 NA's is not an exact science. Could be your visa category. Doesn't really matter does it. You got verbal confirmation you got Case Complete.

Congrats! I didnt know you had a case pending. You have so much knowledge of the visa proceedings that made me assume you had went throught it all years ago. Anyway, Im so happy for you and hope you get well soon as well.

I read and research alot. I hate not knowing stuff. When I filed back in 2011 I knew nothing, no VJ I knew of.

No it shouldn't say "In Transit" It changes to that once you have interview scheduled and they send your casefile out.

Nothing to be concerned about you are waiting in queue like everyone on this thread, Hang on.

You sound a lot like me. If I'm aware of a thing I MUST know more about it. I swear I've spent some 40 hour weeks just researching this visa. It matters so much and so I had to find every scrap of information I could.

I think I have been at Nvc the longest here on vj . I have been there over 25 years and still waiting.

I want to call so bad today about interview date but hoping they just send a email. Let's see how today goes.

Have yet to see Canada, UK, DR, Sweden, Nigeria, Ghana, Philippines announce March dates. Maybe we are in round 2. Goodness
