just to post this but if anybody get a dreaded "AP" better known as Administrative processing before or after visa interview read the link below. It sheds some light what that black-hole process is all about.

Hi All guys waiting for interviews:

Some interesting stuff i found:

The article on wiki below explains the concept of Visa Bulletein and how it ties into green card process. Here we are only talking about IR1/CR1 cases mostly but we have other preference category too. Especially for countries like India, China, Mexico, Canada and other countries which deals with lot of IV cases this is the way the NVC knows how many cases will qualify for interviews and embassy time there date release based on that. Now some countries proactively go ahead and release all dates for next month at once and some bigger embassy like India and Canada like to wait for the visa bulletin schedule to plan.

The Visa Bulletin for March should be coming out next week and that is when we should see the date assignment happen for interviews. For people who have got interview dates they are mostly the people whose countries have already submitted the dates because they do not anticipate many other type of cases...So as it is always first come first serve so those people get the dates.... Now lets see next week... I am really hoping for a march interview...

You can't have your medical in another country.

"An alien pursuing a visa application abroad must have the medical examination conducted by a panel physician approved by the visa issuing U.S. Embassy/Consulate".

But the Paris embassy serves Portugal and many other small EU countries. That line doesn't seem to preclude medical being done in country of origin? Why shouldn't they have approved doctors in other countries who must attend interviews in Paris. Are you sure this is the case?

This link says they will tell where you can make your medical exam.

This immigrant visa unit will provide information on the clinics approved by the Health Service of the United States where you must undergo a medical examination.

I guess you should wait and see, but probably you can.

You are easy to please. Ok here it is: "You will get CC letter 7 days after your 3 N/A's on Feb 2nd". How is that, you like it eh?

I much rather the CC letter AND interview date to come all at once, one can only dream of such awesomeness! My husband and I will still be beyond happy if we even get a date for the beginning of April, but I am not ruling March out just yet (it's my lucky Birthday month). I guess all we can do is wait and see.. :pop:

He works for a company but he is an independent contractor , so is form 1099 enough for me because he only has this ? Is this going to be a problem at my interview?

don't think so....but consult him if he will be filing his taxes before your interview than you can take the tax return with 1099..... But as long as he only gets 1099 from his work place i believe that will be OK. Others please chime in on this....
