Hi Frankjavir,

So just to tell you that US embassy in New Delhi is very good for scheduling Visa interview below are cases where they never took more than 10 days: Usually both New Delhi and Mumbai are not that bad in scheduling. The people where you say huge delay are F2A and other immigrant visa type cases that depends upon case being current and availability of visa for those cases.

See attached Dwheels76's spread sheet with New Delhi filtered, look at the averages from CC to IL (a column that I added) and then the averages from CC to Interview. Some entries are blank, I do not know if they still waiting or never updated their timelines.

I am not too sure about who is to blame after CC, if NVC or the embassy.

Our Queen Dwheels76 said the embassies are not involved until they receive the packages, they just send the slots.

I respectfully kind of question that, because the waiting time varies a lot among different embassies or countries but is pretty constant within a particular embassy or country, the later fact makes me believe that the embassy is the problem, perhaps dragging their feet with slots.

Or if it is like Dwheels76 said, ( she has lots of years and knowledge here) then NVC may have some unknown to us policy to treat each country in a particular predetermined manner set by the powers in charge.

Update, we got our Medicals yesterday since we are not from Buenos Aires we asked Dr. Kelly to do all the things in 1 day if possible. He said that would be OK. For my girls he only checked their vaccines and performed a short physical test. My husband had to do X Rays and Blood Test (DVLR) plus the Physical and also checked his vaccines.

I've been writing to the embassy to try to schedule the interview to an earlier date but no answer yet. I think we will have to wait to Feb. 29th then...

yes that is the problem with people not reporting case timeline...but here is some more info. I know you have done very vast research on this process but understand India New Delhi Embassy is one of the biggest one in volume and staff. It handles more than 1000+ just IV interviews per month.

Now to answer your feedback some of your average numbers are not right just double check i believe its just typo.... the way new delhi is working is if the case gets completed at certain time and NVC is working on New Delhi cases they assign the slots. Usually they leave New Delhi and other high volume embassy for last but most cases which land in new delhi plate are green card holders petitioning for their spouses and there is huge backlog and the interview gets scheduled only when the date become current. Only the IR and CR cases are outside of visa limit and are US citizens petitioning for there wife, kids or parents.

So what i am trying to say is NVC is deliberately just delaying the scheduling the IV cases for people who have case complete for New Delhi....because they will do when they feel like.... that is the only part i do not like. Embassy job is to just send the slots its NVC who fill those slots not the embassy. Man you are very lucky you will be with your loved one soon.... Just ask us people like us who are just being treated like this between NVC, USCIS and embassy....

I never liked the NVC idea for cases who do not have to wait for any priority date or visa numbers or visa bulletin and numbers i.e. number of visa issued per year in that category.

Let's see what happen... I have given all hope that i will get any date in March.... Just sad and broken hearted both me and my wife we have not even see each other for last 6-7 months. The irony is they do not even give tourist visa in India for US if your Immigrant visa petition is pending.....i would gladly paid for everything and she could be here but that was also out....Anyways thanks for your support and i wish you all the best for your interview....

The embassy will have everything you sent to NVC, so no need to bring anymore financial forms/evidence unless they ask for it or you're using assets the meet the requirements.

Thanks , I thought the same but I keep reading different things and really getting confused !

Hey my friend, I feel sorry for what you are going through. Some people can handle it better than others.

You touched my heart with the way you convey your sad feelings about your wife, it kind of makes me feel guilty for getting my petition so fast.

Hang on in there Gaurav, you will get it. Do not give up HOPE, don't do it man.

If you wish correct the averages or point out the error.

I think they are right because Excel did it for me, (SUM of 16 entries divided by 16).

I am going to Church right now, I will pray for you.

Thanks Frank....I really like your post and comments....This board is a life line for people who are waiting.... You know NVC does not know what to tell.... Now i called a new story the way the interviews are handled are at least what they told me was they put the case in a pile of case completed per embassy....Now every embassy takes that pile and start the schheduling when they want to usually it is between last week of previous month and first two weeks of current month for interviews for next Month....

i.e. For March they will schedule starting from last week of Jan till first two weeks of Feb....Once the scheduling is done by embassy from the pile they send the NVC the schedule with Case numbers and NVC send the appointment letters.... I am not saying this is process but if you really ask me this makes sense. Also every visa category has certain allotments. So it could be very well that my case has already got a date but it has not been communicated back to NVC yet....Embassy usually send those files once a month and also they will send the empty slots if there are any left for NVC to assign on first come and first serve basis....So if that is true i might get a date by end of this week or early next week....But its again NVC no body knows what they do :wow::ranting::protest::ot2:

Lets see what happen next.

Hope you can get your date soon too.

Thanks!

Thanks...best wishes for you too

The embassy will have everything you sent to NVC, so no need to bring anymore financial forms/evidence unless they ask for it or you're using assets the meet the requirements.

Thanks , I thought the same but I keep reading different things and really getting confused !

we need some conformation please

Read this:

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

Every embassy is different, mine asks for the same AOS package I sent to NVC.

Best thing to do, have another AOS package just in case.

What if they ask for it and you do not have it?
