You haven't got your W2 yet. I would really push to at least have that. That's your proof you made what you said you made in 2015.

That was to be sent to you by end of January. Call your employer.

But I used my 2014 tax transcripts with NVC? Also used my employer letter stating how Much I make a year with NVC and I ask the lady if it's mandatory for me to get bring my 2015 w2, she said no, just bring the original 2012,2013, 2014 tax transcript and I-864 form file out and sign.

I contact my employer they told me it in the mail and Right now i already mail all whole life of documents to him for his interview 2 weeks from now.?

Hi dwheels76, it is possible for me to go inside with humans after the interview, if approved how long will it take for my husband to have the passport in hand?

No petitioners aren't allowed in embassy. There is a guy that sells a chair seat under the over hang across the street. Bring your water and snacks.

But be sure your husband goes in embassy with your passport in hand so they know you are outside.

Hi dwheels76

Do you mean it's around 4 weeks for the NVC to get me a interview date or do you mean my interview could be in 4 week time?

Sorry for all these questions

mean its 30 days or less usually. Have you looked at the spreadsheet? That will give you a better idea. Where you are in the queue has alot to do with case complete. Hopefully there still slots for your embassy for April.

I'm seeing a lot of people talking about taking W2/tax returns etc to the interview - it was my impression that you only have to take what they specify in your interview confirmation letter? So it may not be the case that this is required?

We tell people that based on what people report back after their interviews. NVC has no say so what a CO wants to hear. NVC only accepts our documents reviews them for completeness and if you made the guidelines and accepts. They do not approve anything . So many get surprised when CO says they need a joint sponsor or they submitted Tax transcripts and the CO wants to see Tax forms. Or vice versa. We are getting people prepared.

I recommend everyone be reading your countries interview reviews. That helps alot. Also read the things to bring to interview (you can go to the NVC site and in pull down select your embassy) it takes you to what to prepare.

I know mine says bring email, chats, IM's Facebook, Skype, cards letters, etc...

Hi Edissa508,

When my husband went for his interview earlier this month, he stated that there was only one lady doing all the interviews. I think the real struggle in Jamaica is the lack of officers that are doing the interviews at the Embassy. Hoping they will start to speed things up soon though, there is no reason that people should be waiting 4-5 months for an interview.

Thank you for that valuable piece of information. That would explain why it's taking so long for them to give out interview dates in Kingston. To have one person handle such a huge amount of paperwork and interviews can be extremely stressful, I would have first guessed that they would be catching up their workload but it just may be the opposite after reading that. I so desperately need to be with my soulmate again and we can't book a flight or anything until we hear back from NVC regarding an interview date.We just want to be over the entire process and be together. This process definitely isn't for the faint of heart

This process is probably one of the most stressful things I've ever dealt with, and it's not about the time it truly about all the uncertainty and the fact that even if you do everything right there can still be problems... It definitely gave me stronger Faith... Hoping that you and your loved one will be together soon :)!

Thank you ANF2014, I agree. It is nerve wrecking to think no matter how much proof one has that the decision is up to one person. One person has that say whether you get to be with your spouse or if they can delay or even deny it based on their beliefs.

We literally have thousands of pictures and conversation history, receipts, proof of visits, skype calls, family pictures which I am hoping will be enough proof to show that our marriage is genuine.I am still wondering how much pictures I should bring and how much conversation history and what is showing to much personal info i.e. do they need to see my wife and I talking intimate because I believe that is private but we wonder if that is way too much info.We were even thinking of getting letters from our family and friends that would be signed and sealed and legally binding to vouch that our marriage is genuine but is that doing too much? Also in regards to police records should one get a new one that is older than 6 months but less than a year or is it best to get a new one sstating record is clean? Can u tell I am a wreck and it ain't even close to the interview yet

I think the best evidence of a genuine relationship are the pictures of you together showing the happiness that is experienced only when your loved one is by your side. All the other stuff is important as well such as the proof of travel, and records showing how often you communicate, but I don't think they need to see the intimate workings of your relationship. (somethings should only be shared between a husband and wife and not the government). I was a wreck pretty much this whole process as well, worry became a part of my everyday life but now that my husband is finally here it just makes me appreciate our time together that much more. As for the police certificate I think the newer it is the better.

I wasn't able to go to the interview with my spouse but he stated once the interview started it was so easy, the lady who interviewed him was so pleasant and all his nerves just faded away. He said it was like having a conversation, each question led into the next and it took no more than 5 minutes. It seems that you've been extremely thorough so all you need to do now is wait, and get your home in order for the arrival of your mate :)!!! If you have any other questions feel free to PM me direct!

I can't say thank you enough. It is an amazing feeling when you can confide and get support not only from your loved ones but also people who have been through the process as well and have first hand knowledge. To read that members on here are finally with their loved one after going through all obstacles. I am really happy for the support and information provided by all. I know I probably sound like a broken record but it really hits home for me (what can I say I'm a big softie ) I am truly happy for finding this site and the forum. I will try to keep everyone posted on any new details regarding emails or notifications from NVC or Kingston Embassy and I hope I will help others just like you have all helped us

OMG...that has to be humanly impossible for 1 person (all day long). I am at a list for words...
