Case Complete to Interview March 2016

Thanks for putting words on it and telling it so we all can understand it.

You have been doing this for sometime And if you look back through out all of it. Is it normal for at case to be shipped to a Embassy more then a month before the interview date ?

Or is it just random every time?

It's actually changed over time. When I went through the process in 2014, NVC would get your file off their desks within about 3 days after CC. This meant your file got to the Consulate/Embassy about 4 to 6 weeks prior to your interview.

Then, because we got smart here on Visa Journey, people started asking for earlier appointments - because we knew the files were already sitting there. I think the Consulate/Embassy folk got sick and tired of it.

So the process changed, and NVC now seems to hold files until about 2 weeks prior to the scheduled interview date.

DWheels is right (of course) - it is impossible to know for sure that YOUR package is the one listed on the DHL manifest. If you are from an Embassy/Consulate that does not have a lot of traffic (so if you are from Canada, Mexico, India, Pakistan, etc. you are out of luck) you MAY be able to figure out when your package ships.

It was easier when files left NVC about 3 days after your CC. Now, your file is probably packaged with a bunch of others.

For example - Australia only interviews IR-1/CR-1 on Tuesdays. So, most likely, everyone who is being interviewed on a particular Tuesday is probably packaged together in one bundle.

Do the sent e-mail which says my case is complete? I haven't got that yet

U will get Case Complete confirmation email in a week, and I am not much sure but I think they will start scheduling for April between end of this month and beginning of the next month.

To be fair i don´t really care if the packet are mine or not on.

What i was most interested about was "Is it or is it not "normal" for NVC to ship a case to Embassy more then a month before the interview"

All the rest is just small talk and information collecting.

In 2008 i filled with the Embassy in Denmark and i never had to to with other then them.

And i walked out of Embassy with packet and passport in hand, some days after the interview.

To bad they changed that.

My case status stays In Transit and I just got my CC this week, and my interview is a little more than a month away. Not sure if that is normal.

I notices the same with mine. My case has actually been showing READY since 1/19, and my interview isn't until 2/25.

Lets hope that with NVC closed for 3 days, they will come back and be ready for work.

Let us get some more CC´s in here and soon they will start interview dates again.
