hi guys, im a bit confused. does nvc book your appointment for the interview or do u book urself through the consulate. i've heard from some who have been prompted by embassy after case complete to book an interview, but i've also heard from some that they are waiting for nvc to schedule their interview.

Hi,

It all depends on the consulate. Some schedule appointments, others send you a link to schedule your own based on a calendar showing available dates...there are also those that allow you to walk-in from what I saw on a Facebook group. ?

Hey guys!! Please help. Trying to gather everything for the interview :)

Do I need to bring i864 & i864a to my interview?? I sent the original ones to NVC already. Do we need to fill in the new ones?? Also, do I need to bring 2015 tax return and w2 of the sponsor and joint sponsor to the interview?? If so, do I bring the copies or they have to be original??

Just so I'm aware; you can't call and check when your interview will be scheduled?

Can't call? Of course you can call NVC anytime. Okay let me lay out the dance of the Interview assignment.

  1. Case Complete puts you in the Interview queue for your embassy
  2. Interviewing scheduling usually (I said usually) last few days of the month through about 2nd week.
  3. NVC starts assigning cases to dates (slots) in CC order and stop either when they run out of slots or run out of cases

Example my case we got case complete 2/9. They were scheduling for March when I got CC but they stopped for my embassy at 2/5. No more slots left. That's how it is. Case Complete WHEN you get it really matters how long.

April scheduling should start either tomorrow , Friday or next week. You can always call and ask but when you call be specific only about your embassy.

Saying "Have you started scheduling for April" is too generic. Philippines could have started and no one else (because they got their dates into NVC early) and they may say yes. When your embassy hasn't start.

You ask specifically "Has Interview scheduling started or stopped or are they full for Canada".

Check out my Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet.

Hey guys what time can I call nvc?

I've read that the best time to call is right when they open at 7am EST. Honestly though, I've called at a variety of times during the day and had to wait on hold anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes. so it's really a game of chance, in my opinion.

It can take anywhere from 14-21 days or longer. It doesn't have anything to do with the country. NVC has to process so many cases it just takes time. Waiting and patients is the name of the game :)

Country has nothing to do with. It just depends on how backlogged they are. I started calling them 4 days after they confirmed they received my approved petition from USCIS. I called every day until they said they had a case number and IIN.

I lucked out and they had it in 7 days. You just have to keep calling and waiting. It can take as much as 30 days.

We don't even have a clue what dates are currently getting CC. No updates on here neither. Makes one wonder If NVC has backlogs or we just don't have members whom are CC'd or they just not logging on here to update us. Scan date 02/08 Seems like a year before we get CC :( Perhaps am just tripping lol

Hey guys! My NVC scan date is January 19th. I received a check list this morning :crying: . I'm sending the corrections today through overnight mail. From experiences you guys know about, does it usually take another 30-45 days once they receive checklist items??? I'm super bummed and hoping they can process the corrections a bit faster
