As far as I'm concerned, NVC doesn't book appointments for us at the consulates / embassies. I believe that's up to the applicant and you do it through a specific website.

Nope not true you can't schedule your own. Only the DR can NVC schedules all interviews unless you are sent to embassy because of expedite.

How do I expedite the interview date?? Is it possible??

Call NVC and request an expedite. It all depends on your embassy not on NVC. The NVC receives the expedite request and forwards it to the embassy. Your embassy will decide whether your case needs to be expedited or not. The most common reasons are life/death diseases and military deployment.

Like I explained earlier some spousal visa folk that go through NVC get to schedule if they were expedited. Some embassies do DCF (where the petitioner filed directly at embassy). Your country NVC will schedule you.

Also this site like ustraveldocs some embassies use it so people can get their passport/visa. It's like our CEAC website for tracking.

There's really no short cuts but waiting and or if you have a legitimate reason to expedite.

**Hopefully I pray all getting case complete will get to schedule themselves.

I just paid both fees and I'm ready to send AOS and IV packets I'm sending 2012,13,14 taxes do I need send 2015 now? or I can bring for the interview since my joint sponsor didn't filled for 2015 yet

Do I need to bring i864 & i864a to my interview?? I sent the original ones to NVC already. Do we need to fill in the new ones?? Also, do I need to bring 2015 tax return and w2 of the sponsor and joint sponsor to the interview?? If so, do I bring the copies or they have to be original??

Can anyone help? My husband is trying to call NVC and he's getting confused with which options to choose. We are calling to see if we have been assigned the case number. I have no clue what the NVC line is like...I cant call from work. Can anyone tell me how to get a live person or whatnot... since I can't actually call and figure it out myself.

Here's the number: 603-334-0700

He will press 1 for English

Then press 7....which will allow him to speak with a live person and ask if his case# and Invoice number has been assigned yet.
