Weren't you expedited? If you were,NVC just forwards your package to Juarez.

If that is the case, Juarez will ask for it

My case was not expedited at all during NVC, only after i got cc. I had to send another expedite request because they didnt attach it when it became CC and got it approved two days after case completed.

Ok, so you do not think that Juarez will ask for it?

I know there are 2 or 3 countries which DOS does not bother to ask police certificates because they are worthless due to police corruption.

Oh yes will will have it ready for the interview. Sometimes they ask for it during interview and sometimes they don't bother at all. But will have it ready for the interview.

Part of the timetable NVC has full control and the other part you do.

If you are not prepared with your documentation, ( Seems to me that is your case), you will delay yourself and NVC does not care or pressure you about it.

In a nut shell:

From NOA2 to case NVC case number, aprox. 40 days.

From case number through DS-261, AOS and IV fees, AOS/IV packages to scan date depends on you. Some people do it in 10 days, some take 3 months.

After Scan date NVC has full control unless you made mistakes and they send you a checklist.

Thanks alot!!! No im not prepared with documentations at all. Wanna do everything together so think that will delay a month but depends on when NVC is getting our case. Lets see keeping our finger crossed!

Keep in mind more than likely you will need 2015 tax returns because you will be too close or pass April 18.

So file taxes ASAP.

I can cry right now sooo confused honestly. My husband just graduated he is looking for job so we need a joint sponsor and even if he gets a job im sure we need a joint sponsor for past tax returns like for 3years. Hopefully my dad in law has all tax return papers. Gosh this will be so tough ?

I hate to say it, but apparently you wasted precious time during your long wait for NOA2.

But do not panic now, plan a logical sequence of steps to meet all the requirements.

Get started with your police certificate, I do not know how easy or difficult is to get one in India, in Colombia you just go online and print one.

Study your AOS requirements, read carefully the instructions and be sure what type of I-864 version you need.

Stay focused, read, read, research, write down you questions and doubts.

Pay attention to detail.

Copies only for NVC, originals for interview.

No photos to NVC.

Mail AOS and IV packages together in a larger envelope.

Stay on top of your case calling NVC 2 weeks after NOA2 to obtain Case number and Invoice ID number.

Getting a police certificate specially in Mumbai is 2 Weeks. Register online on a website (Passport office/Website) and Schedule an appointment and submit your paperwork. Than Police inquires about your resident and than you get a text. My Wife got her PCC in 3 weeks because she had 4 address listed in last 5 years.
