I've called today and i was told that my case was closed yesterday ,but in computer there is no 3 N/A. How you think is it truth?

We never received an email stating that our packets were received. However I did call NVC and they did receive them. Did anyone else never get an email?

That happened to us as well. I got the email for my petition, my husband got the email for my daughter's petition but we never got email confirmation of my son's petition. We did receive them via regular postal mail some weeks after. NVC confirmed via telephone that they rec'd all 3 petitions.

The 3 N/A is not 100% = CC, but it´s a guideline, that´s all.

So if the NVC says CC, then is CC.

Tomorrow will be 1 month from my scan date of January 19th! I'm so anxious and want to call for a possible update. What option should I choose on the NVC phone menu? Do you guys choose #3 which is to check if documents were received? I know they received it, I just want a status update.

My scan date is also Jan 19...in checking the dates, my 30-day marker is today...45-day will be on Mar 4....however, I called NVC today (just for the heck of it lol) to get an update on me and my kids' cases. I selected 1 for English and 7 for other queries.

I was told by the pleasant Tyler that they request the 30-45 days to fully review the paperwork and that NVC is only on day 31 of me and my kids' cases...(O_O) I guess that means that they include the scan date as a day to be checked when calculating the 30-45 days!

Did any1 else know this info and I'm just the last to know??

I just got off the phone to find out if my documents were scanned or not and guess what they said that we are currently backlog right now and hopefully by weekend we can catch up to the mails and scanning documents.

She also said that 45 days start from the scanning date.

The scan date it is like myth we created, it is crazy. Different reps give you different answers or the dates change. In my case it changed to an earlier date.

Another thing is, most applicants receive an acknowledgement via email from NVC and others like myself never received one.

Beneficiary's original birth certificate. EVERY THING original for embassy, it is clear as a bell in the NVC website.

i know everything that has to do with her should be original for ineterview. my question was, for birth certificate , do they need both of us or just hers? but anyways, ill send mine as well. better safe than sorry.

Remember it´s 30-45 days, unless they tell you otherwise when you talk to NVC.

But good luck and i hope it will not go the full 45 days.

You had to give the both for the I-130 if i don´t remember wrong, so give her both and be safe.
