::aaaaaagggggghhhh::

I am having one of those days where I keep getting all teary and miss my husband SO much. I don't know why I am so goofy, just really tired I guess. Some days just feel extra difficult, though I know we are toward the end of all this maddening waiting.

::cries::

This forum is helpful so thank you for all the sharing.

My scan date is 4th Jan 2016. Called NVC today only to be told that i have been "checklist" as they could not find my birth certificate within the pack. I told the agent that i have a copy of the pack and I'm sure the birth certificate was in there. She offered to put me forward for supervisor review and now i have been quoted up to 40+ days before they will review which feels like i have slowed down the entire process.

Should i just mail out another copy of my birth certificate tomorrow? In case i do mail this out to them do you suggest i include anything other than my cover letter stating my case reference or is there some sort of bar code or something that would make their life easier?

Other questions

What is the likelihood they will find my birth certificate?

Should i keep phoning them on a regular basis and will this make a difference?

My birth certificate was issued in India and only states my fathers name and not my mothers is this likely to be an issue? Should i bother getting this notarised or a normal photocopy should suffice.

Finally if i wanted to go see my wife in April do you foresee any issues travelling on the ESTA. I am a British passport holder.

Thanks in advance for your support.

I recently was told they did not receive my birth certificate, even though i sent them two. The first being the original and the second being a certified copy of the original. If i were in your place i would just resend the documents, calling them will not make much of a difference. Were you born in India? Make sure if its in a language other than English you get it translated by someone who is certifiable. If you were not born in India i would get a birth certificate from the country of birth, they are very strict when it comes to birth certificates, I wouldn't give them another reason for another checklist. Good Luck

Many thanks for your feedback i will send them a copy tomorrow itself to avoid delay. I was born in India and the document was issued by the Indian authorities. Whilst the document is in English it is handwritten and not an easy read. It does not include my mothers name will this be an issue?
