Honestly I would recommend calling sooner, because if by chance you got a checklist the sooner you know the sooner it can be taken care of. Best of luck.

Hi,

My scan date is jan 4th. Anyone with that scan date still waiting on cc? I notice a couple ppl with that scan date got 3 N/A today. I called nvc but was told to allow 30-45 days for them to review.

I called again tonight and the very nice girl, Caley, was happy that I called to get the Choice of Agent reviewed over the phone. She said my IV invoice should be unlocked in the next 24 hours.

She said not everyone knows that saves weeks of waiting. So for all of you that are still waiting for DS-261 to be approved....call them and ask for it to be reviewed over the phone just like VJWiki says to do.

Our scan date was the 28th of december

Yes my scan date was on 12/29 and since feb 4th my case on supervisor review. calling everyday for case status. On Friday will call to talk to supervisor ( she promised to review within a week)

Usually arrives in a week that's 14 to 28 days to get a case# so in 2 weeks after approval start calling them.

I think NVC is picking up the pace. They received my petition exactly 1 week ago, 2/01, and I called tonight and the nice guy i spoke with, George, said just finished assigning a case number and IIN. wooohoooooooooo!!!

He said to wait until I get a letter from NVC about what to do next, but since I've been reading Dept of State website since last July and VJ has been super helpful, i knew what to do. I already submitted the DS-261!

Congrats! They received mine on Feb 4, still waiting for my case number & iin. Hopefully it'll be available this week. Btw, i'm new in this thread. just browsing thru comments that i can relate to coz most recent comments were about CC, so Hi!

Note: I filled I-864 electronically using Adobe Acrobat Reader, to generate the barcode at the bottom of each page, and kept all non-applicable fields empty (as you can't type N/A electronically). The only field filled by hand was the signature field (using black ink). I also wrote the case number on the right top corner of all documents submitted using a pencil.

I hope this is helpful to those of you preparing their packages.
