When they say "Certified photocopy" what does that mean? does that mean I have to notarize the photocopy of the marriage certificate?

Certified copies can only be obtained from the governing body that issued the original. They make a copy of the original and certify it with their seal/stamp. You can't notarize anything.

For NVC the photocopy of your marriage certificate is all you need to send. Nothing needs to be done from it if its a copy of an original or certified copy.

This is odd this morning my aos fee said paid now it says n/a. my scan date is 1/22/16

Hi all! Today should be for those of you with scan date 12/29, tomorrow should be 12/30, meaning that Next week should just about wrap up December and begin JANUARY 2016 woohoo! I would highly recommend that if you have a scan date before the last week of December and have not received CC, to call and see if there is a checklist. Even though we are really only going based off others scan dates, it is fairly accurate. Best of luck to all those waiting, and still waiting! I am right there with you. :goofy::goofy::clock::luv:

hey all,

super confused. send my iv and aos pack together in decemeber, recieved notification that nvc recieved my docs and got a scan date of 31st december. now just recieved another email stating my scan date is feb 1st? what on earth? i have not sent them anything since my one package in december. anyone experienced anything like this?

so anxious now that i may have to wait another 30 days >_<

Okay. I'm sure you asked how long it would take for the supervisor to look into the matter.

It will work out, maybe just a glitch. I know I received emails for a couple of cases that didn't belong to me. It will be sorted out.p

Case completed today! saw the 3rd NA and called NVC to confirm.

A lady confirmed, that the case got completed today February 4!.

I am very happy! BTW my scan date was December 28. :)

@alveoli. congratz.i am confused .your timeline says you send documents on 28 december.then how ur scan date can be same day?

I have to update the timeline details. :)

We sent our papers to NVC few days before the Holiday and NVC got it on the 28th of December. :)
