What do 3 N/As look like as displayed on NVC website? Can someone with CC share a screenshot without displaying their personal info? Thanks

Here you are (:

My scan date was January 22nd. I called today (one month) and they said they were still reviewing my case and to give them up to 45 days.

My scan date is the same. Hopefully we should be hearing something soon. I am just hoping for no checklists.

As far as I'm concerned, NVC doesn't book appointments for us at the consulates / embassies. I believe that's up to the applicant and you do it through a specific website.

My understanding is once NVC issues case complete, they put you in queue for interview scheduling. They receive available interview date and times from the relevant consulate abroad and then sends you a letter (email) informing you when you've been scheduled for.

I look to someone who has already completed this process in its entirety for a proper answer.

That was my understanding as well Liny. I think we are responsible to schedule the medical exam rather than the interview. Is that correct?

Exactly. once we have the interview date and time, we have to schedule the medical exam, fingerprinting, photographs and how to pick up your passport/visa....anything else required for that consulate.

This is how it works for all embassies but DR (They started recently you schedule yourself).

NVC schedules all interviews. Only those petitioners that were expedited are prompted by the embassy to go schedule themselves. Otherwise it's wait in the queue until your petition is selected. Wait you must. Most get date within 60 days but there are many (see my spreadsheet) waiting 4 to 6 months.

It is for most....I just want the CC..haha. Ghana interview time is a bit long. It takes a month or longer just to get an interview date. Then a month or longer after that until the big day. We just try to stay patient because our time will come soon.

Why would you have to wait until October to December? Try to get your documents together as quickly and accurately as possible. Like we've been telling you, this process goes as quickly as YOU want it to go. Your case was approved on 2/18, so even this Friday, 2/26, start calling NVC to see if they received your petition. they may tell you a scripted answer like "it can take up to 60 days for us to receive your petition from USCIS." don't freak out about that. call again next week and keep calling them everyday if you want to until they confirmed receipt of your petition. Then wait a week and start calling them again about a case number. dwheels76 said it can take up to a month, but she didn't say wait a month to find out. They could assign your case in 10 days......we are all telling you the same point....be proactive and read!!!! NVC isn't going to reach out to you to say they received your case. You should receive a welcome letter (email) once your case number and Invoice Identification Number (IIN) is assigned but that's not always sent immediately. Why wait for them to reach out to you?

Where are you reading about a OF-169 and OF-230? I've checked the Department of State's website and don't see anything on there, not even when I search for it. I think they may be old forms that are not valid anymore because the NVC doesn't mail you any forms. Everything is done online now. The DS-261 (Choice of Agent) form, paying the AOS fee, paying the IV fee and completing the IV application are all done online. the only thing YOU would print off from their website is the appropriate 864 form relevant to you. Then you'll submit all your AOS and IV documents along with the 864 form and mail it to NVC. the only part you can't control is how quickly NVC processes your AOS and IV documents and issues a case complete. it could be anywhere from 30-45 days after they receive your documents.

Take a look at my timeline in my signature. Hopefully, I will have a case complete by end of March at the latest, which means my total time at NVC will have been 2 months. (Praying for no checklist). Once NVC says case complete, then we wait for an interview date and time from Mumbai. In my case, I think it might be a May interview for my husband. Which means total time from NVC receiving my petition to interview could only be 4 months.

You really need to read and familiarize yourself with the process so you feel more confident about it. Both links (VJ's NVC process and Dept of State's) have been given to you in other posts and other threads. Don't let yourself get depressed or overwhelmed by this whole process. That's easy to do when you don't fully understand it. You and your husband could be together by the middle of the summer.....Let that be the focus of getting your documents together quickly.

Hang in there and read!!!!

Wow that was helpful. Im gonna save this to my reminder because found this more helpful from anything. Lol no more question from my side till m reaching DS 261 ? Thanks alot! Thank god you are having Mumbai perfect for me ?
