Hello,

I am a US Citizen and we just got the NOA2 Approved and I am aware it now takes a bit of time to make it to the NVC then to the Embassy in Afghanistan where my fiance is. I wanted to ask a few things, one, we did get 'engaged' and we do have pictures of this event, would it be wise NOT to include these as it may arise suspicion when my fiance has her interview and they may think we are commiting fraud? Anyone else have engagement photos and not have a problem? Again, this is for the fiance visa, the k3 or 129 form. Lastly, if everything goes smoothly, how long of a gap between my case being recieved by the embassy from the NVC, until my fiances' interview where she recieves her visa.

Thank you,

Fiance visa will be the K1, not a K3.

Why would engagement photos be considered 'fraud'?

good luck

Well I just don't want them to have any suspicious doubts regarding our case. Lastly, I would like to assume, once he embassy receives the information from NVC that it should take only a good month until the interview (that's including compiling the documents and medical interview etc)

No one can tell you for sure because everyone's journey is different. If you filled out a timeline it would give people more information to help you estimate. Also at the bottom of the timeline it would give you an approximate adjudication date

also, is there ANYTHING we can or need to do while the case is with the NVC? or once everything is at the consulate thats when we go ahead with the forms filing and paperwork. Also, will NVC send the pictures of what i gave to USCIS to prove we have met within the 2 year period? or the embassy will ask for photos altogether as if they never had them in the first place.????

:time:

NVC will forward your entire packet onto the NVC who it turn forwards it to the embassy. However, you may want to bring updated pictures if those are available.

You can begin preparing forms DS160, I-134, and other documents you know you will need for the interview.

My case will be received by the embassy I would say within the next two weeks inshALLAH and we are filing for the K1 Fiance Visa, I am nervous they will ask my fiance about any nikah that has been done or will take place, thus making them suspicious that we should in fact be filing a k3, are they this strict you think? Please tell me your experience with this. Again everything seems to be good to go, i am just nervous about the nikah being brought up at the interview. Anyone who has done a K1 in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh etc, please let me know how it went for your K1.

Please let me know.
