Heads up for the BJ health check.

Assuming they have no health records or vax records, you spouse will be getting 3 jabs. They will not do this same day. First day will be the tests and 2 jabs. Second day is the 3rd jab.

It opens up at 7:30am, I advise parking underground, it's just easier that way, that place is a zoo. Numbers are over on the counter. If you show up around 6:30 you will pretty much be guaranteed to be #1 (unless someone else reading this also does it). After 7am it's a crapshoot, by 7:10 there were 30 some and by 7:20 it was standing room only. Late comers were turned away at 8ish.

You will need:

2 printouts of the P4 notification letter

2 printouts of the embassy appointment confirmation

2 printouts of the exam appointment

8 30x40mm photos

1 copy of the passport

If you are like us and totally forgot the P4, there's a printer place down on 2nd floor, but they won't be in till 9am. You can print it up in the nurse's office if you are crafty about it. For copies, there's a place on the 23rd floor and there's a copier in the guardshack on the otherside of the elevators. The guard will be a jerk, wait till he's gone and the stuttery guard will let you plug it in and copy if you know how to use it. Just make sure it's loaded with paper.

They will officially say it takes 5 business days, but call after 4 days instead around noon. If you can get in before 3:30 you can snap it up.

Ignore the embassy instructions claiming it's 5 photos and 888 kuai, that's bull. They'll swipe cards though so whatever.

iS k-1 MEDICAL SAME? I dont recall 8 30mmx40mm, exam appt, copy of passport. Maybe CR1 is different. Also I am referring to Guangzhou.

Don't panic about the medical exams, the required documents in BJ and GZ are different.

Wherever you decide to have your medical, make sure with the medical center what size photo they need and how many...

Yea, the results for medical does take 3 business days. My fiance went on the 17th, and was told to pick up the results on the 22nd.

I definitely recommend her to go early early early in the morning, since they only give out limited numbers for medical.

The medical center opens at 8am, but they start giving out numbers at 7:30 am, my fiance got in line at 6:45am and got a #6.

Looks like my fiancee and I missed this batch, so frustrating.

Could someone let me know what calendar dates were opened?

Lets keep a lookout, I am rescheduling as no P3 yet. Once you see or I see something, beep it here for late mar or early April appts.

hI j&y, we called guangzhou medical center, they said if Mon Am do checkup, can include vaccinations and then pickup on Wed pm. Did you or your fiance ever inquired about pickup 2 biz days after?

I hope that's the case - I just checked ours and it's moved to AP status as well. Just updated today (2/29) too...guess the extra day for the leap year came in handy

I'm not sure, when we called, they were like 3 business days. But I guess they do make exceptions sometime.

Yes under normal circumstances yes.... i am cutting so close to Mar 17th and P3 suppose to come today or tmr lol looks like have to reschedule

In and out and done. Interview was simple, nothing really unexpected. The largest annoyance was how they mixed all the interviews together, leaving my wife waiting for well over an hour while they called endless others who would then get rejected on their scammy visas and throw fits.. further delaying the calling of interviews.

Also, I highly recommend just staying in the Four Seasons. My wife was probably the most relaxed one in there. 5 minutes walk from the consulate, no need to be anxious about anything. Great views too.

Why would you say they are scammy visas? it could be real couples who were not as fortunate?
