GUZ Guangzhou 2016 - K1/CR1 IV Interview Appt Scheduling

It's not just marriage, Guangzhou handles all immigrant visas. Parents, brothers and sisters, ect.. And visajourney is a very very small subset of the applicants. There are other sites out there that are similar to VJ, some even dedicated to China. And many other people use lawyers and never visit these sites, you can expect that they handle over 100 interviews a week easily. If you look at J&Y's picture, Next to the 7:45 interview time slot, they had "可用的" which means number of appointments available at that time, and they took the picture after appointments were already scheduled, so logically, they may even handle between 5 and 10 interviews per timeslot, in 30 minute intervals through the day. Plus they aren't just interviewing Immigrant Visa requests, they are also doing B2, H1B, J1, and many other Visa Interviews.

Yeah that makes sense.. i never even thought about that. I feel quite stupid now LOL.. at least it is a reasonable explanation

Actually no, doesn't make sense. NIV can have interviews done at any consulate/embassy in the country. IV is GZ only, if they are crossing streams, that's just retarded.

my honest best advice on this is to just walk around with a damn phone swiping it to refresh the page every half hour... alll day long. Unless I am not mistaken these get released at Approximate O'clock every Randomday and if you miss it, you have another week to wait. Be OCD. OCD is good.

Was there a "earliest appointment available..." notification on the left hand side of the Dashboard page when you got your appointment? I have both called and swiped when these pop up with no avail. I'm not sure what I'm looking for anymore after 3 months.

I see "First Available Appointment Is Monday March 14, 2016." on left hand side of my Dashboard at 4:45 PM China time. Swiped and called and got no appointments available. Confused.

What do you mean called? you must schedule your appointment through the cgifederal website.

You can call the CGI call center (in Chinese langugage) and they can schedule appointments. Apparently, they scheduled a few earlier in the day, but could not get us an appointment right now 4:45 PM. I have not been able to see a calendar yet on the CGI website.

Yep, that's what shows up when there's magically something. You then click on that "Continue" and click through to schedule.

URGENT NEED HELP. how come the appt has a different DS160 number from my DS160. She had applied for F1 previously and it is showing up!!! The K1 DS160 is not showing up.. please help.

Got Mar 17th but the DS160 number is of an F-1 Application previously huh??

LOL.. the machine kept giving us DS160 of a previous application, there is no field to enter the right DS160?

Cancelled 3 times.. and on the 4th time.. you have to pay 1749 again if you cancel. Now have wrong DS160 number on appt page. CGI says send message to CGI feedback lol
