If you have received your NOA2 and have been informed by USCIS that it has been mailed to NVC, then you can call 603-334-0700 with your Receipt Number to see if received. This is a lot quicker than waiting on the mail. However, at least allow approximately 6-8 days before calling NVC to allow for mailing time. Keep in mind it will not be assigned a Case#/IIN yet, but at least you will know that your Petition has been received. One member messaged me yesterday inquiring about my update of NVC Receive on my timeline and I thought I would share how I obtained the date of receipt.

Note: Once the petition's Case#/IIN is assigned, then you can provide your email address for you and your spouse to expedite the receipt of the AOS/IV bill instead of waiting on the mail as well.

Thank you. I personally know where to find it. I just thought sharing my personal triumphant puts it in the forefront. Most times people don't like digging for information or know exactly where to pinpoint where to find answers to questions such as my post. Thanks for the link.

Hi there ...what is next after your case has been approved and sent to NVC and you have your NVC case number?

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Also for you depends if your PD is current or getting close.

Do i have to wait for my PD to be current before i can start with every paper work....my case has been approved and i have my NVC case number..

Usually yes but it depends on the category. Call NVC and ask.
