Hi Guys :)

Me and the hubby have decided its high time we move from our neighborhood (The area is going down hill fast and we rent) and purchase our first home together way out in the sticks (hubby wants his own piece of land to hunt and fish on). We have seen the PERFECT property!!!!! and have contact the relator for a viewing. However, we are going through the ROC process right now. I sent my petition to remove conditions in December 2015 and shortly after had my biometrics and received NOA1. My question is.... when we buy, will the fact im going through the ROC process bare any effect on us buying a property? Hubby has been in the same job 18 years (warehouse manager) and I have been in the same job since I received my green card (im a receptionist in an animal hospital). Both of us work long, full time hours and have good credit scores each. Thanks in advanced for your input (L)

My only concern would be financing. If he has the credit rating and the income to finance it himself then you'll be ok, but if you haven't started a credit rating or otherwise don't have one at all most mortgages will not count your income for the purposes of financing.

Some people feel that buying a house is a big deal and is extravagant. I think it's more big deal and necessity unless you enjoy renting or moving around a lot.

Go ahead buy your house. They don't look at your immigration status as far as I can tell. I was never asked for any paperwork regarding my immigration status during our house purchase.
