Hi,

So I came to USA on the 9th of this month through Etihad Airline from Karachi, Pakistan so my POE was at Abu Dhabi Airport and the officer at the immigration counter asked just for the sealed envelope I received after my interview and didn't take the sealed x-ray report. I even showed it to him but he said that he didn't need it.

So now I have the X-ray report with me and don't know what to do with it. Does anybody know what I should do now? Don't they need the X-ray report anymore?

They didn't keep my fiancés either. We opened it about a year after he was here as we found it looking through our immigration box. Yup, it was just a chest X-ray. It's now back in the immigration box.

Seems like more often than not, CBP don't care about the x-ray disc so don't worry about it. Think I've only heard of one person where they wanted to see the disc.

Yes Fatima I also got one big envelop from Agha Khan Hospital Karachi which says X-Ray Film. My question to you is should I keep it in my hand carry or in my suitcase, as the envelop is very big and I don't want it to spoil. And can you also tell me if I travel from Etihad Airline will they take the sealed medical reports in Abu Dhabi or US airport? I am confused.

Thanks in advance. :)

If you are taking Morning flight from Karachi to US then your immigration will be done at Abu Dhabi Airport, keep your medical reports and Xray Handy.

if coming to USA, port of entry will be a city in USA not a foreign country or third party country, port of entries are usually where US immigration officer allow you to enter USA officially..

from there you can stay in that city or go further to your destination., if needed.

like mine POE was CHICAGO , o hare airport, from there i came to Houston ,TX.

I stopped over in Dubai, UAE from Emirates Airline ,they cannot do US immigration.

As far as big envolop , keep it handy , for the port of entry ,for immigration officer, donot check it in, it a chest x-ray, to prove you are TB free.cannot enter without that.

No that is not true. I came to USA through Etihad Airline and only the passengers of this airline have the privilege to get done with their immigrations at Abu Dhabi Airport...passengers of all the other airlines have to go through their immigrations in US. When I reached NY, US..all I had to do was pick up my luggage and walk out of the airport :)

you are partially right, Abu dhabi is the only foreign airport in Middle East which has preclearance facility , (dubai or any other airport doesnot), there are only 6 countries with 15 airports have that facility.I know that first hand
