It's working for me a bit, but my current black friends are my neighbors (Two of my gardens are in black neighborhoods) and mostly they complain that I wake up the drunks too early.

Not appreciate isn't the word we're using. The problem lies that white people(who do this) are always trying to tell black people what is or isn't racist. You don't get to define what's racist when you're not affected by it. That's like me telling a gay person who's being bashed it's not really gay bashing. Your opinion? No worries. But it's like myself and Janelle's experience as black people somehow weigh LESS than the white people here who aren't discriminated against. And white people DON'T have the same problems as black people do. That's a known fact.

For myself, it seems like the majority believes that unless the N-word is present or the KKK, then everything else is just unfortunate circumstances. Even though I can list several examples side by side and show what you're allowed to do and I can't even if we're doing the exact same thing.

1. We can't open carry like white people can. You think if we tried to question the cops we'd survive the encounter?

2. If a white person acts like this and gets away with it, how is it fair a black person can't do it?

About 25 members of the Black Panthers marched in front of the Waller County Jail in Hempstead Wednesday to protest the arrest of Sandra Bland and other cases they characterized as "crimes against black people."

A huge contingent of law enforcement officers was on hand for the protest, which lasted for about two hours and led to no violence or arrests. On Sunday, protesters were forcibly evicted after storming the jail's lobby. Two elderly people were injured.

Any other imaginary stories of what "black people can't do but white people can?" #######'s up with that flag anyway? Thought we were all red-blooded Americans, all alike.

we gots a new open carry law this year,

and it was a 'Super Duper' moment for me,

when I saw a troop of The New Black Panthers, this week, carrying assault rifles.

Sure, the reason they were there , this week, was quite distasteful, but they were really good !

I prefer to see Black Panthers carrying assault weapons, in a troop. and no, I'm not funnin' about it.

The Black Panthers marched into the street in front of the jail chanting “Whose streets?… Our streets!”

"The revolution is on", said the chant leader. "Off the pigs", the group chanted back. The chant continues, "Time to pick up the gun… Off the pigs. No more pigs in my community… Off the pigs. No more brothers in jail… Off the pigs. No more sisters in jail… Off the pigs. The pigs are gonna get scared… Off the pigs. The pigs are gonna get dead… Off the pigs".

In other chants the group shouted “All power to the people; Whose streets, Our streets; and Freedom or Death.”

Yeah, standing in front of a police station with assault rifles chanting this garbage is different that "occupying" some abandoned hut out in the middle of nowhere? Black people get treated worse than white people in the same situation?

Face it. Some people on here have their head up so far they can't see daylight.

before screaming racism or whatever, perhaps best to look at what specific jurisdictions this video took place in before trying to make a comparison.

You don't get to define what's racist when you're not affected by it. That's like me telling a gay person who's being bashed it's not really gay bashing.

Actually I do. It doesn't mean I'm right and doesn't mean you need to listen. If a person who's gay is being beaten up they can argue until they're blue in the face that it was because they were gay, but in reality it may be completely unrelated to that. Just because they are gay they don't get to blame everything on homophobia when it isn't. If something bad happens to you and you are black, it doesn't mean it happened because you are black. Claiming it is doesn't make you right, and pleading to a self-righteous "You don't get to" is not a compelling argument. Being a minority does not give you carte blanche to scream racism whenever you want and then scream down somebody who disagrees that was the cause because they are not part of the same minority. That isn't how things work, never has been, never will be.

'bleve those are the current uniforms of the oppressed Darnell. They didn't make those slick looking assault rifles back in the 60's. Seems the black folks are coming up on 'bout 50 years of unbothered open carry.
