My fiance and I are about to begin the Visa Journey in March after we get married. I have learned a lot on these forums.

How much of this process can be done online if in Honduras? If any?

Which documents have to be originals. I am seeing conflicting information because I heard everything that you send in is a copy and all the originals go to the interview.

After we get married I come back to file (and work) and hopefully we can get to the NVC before I come back in June. Praying for that because I'll be over there until end of July and I don't want to lose that time. Is it possible to have all the documents filled out and ready to go before the NVC packet arrives?

You can fill out the I130 in advance if/when you know all the details, and you can fill out the G325a in advance (one for him one for you) bring his G325a with you, he will need to sign it, about the only other thing you will NEED to get while you are in honduras is your marriage certificate

Also you can start gathering evidence of your relationship now-a few printouts of emails or chats you have had spanning your relationship

you need to send original forms with your I130 petition, but you do not send any original documents (such as your marriage document-give them a photocopy)

I think it is very unlikely that your petition will be both approved and the NVC ready to receive documents from you, it takes about 5 months for the petition to be approved generally meaning if you file in March your petition would be approved around July. Once approved it takes about a month to get to the NVC and get a case number assigned. So if you are planning to travel up to the end of July, this will likely not delay processing your case.

Yes you can prepare in advance the documents you will need for your AoS/IV packet.

You can monitor your petition online when you submit to USCIS. Nothing much to see but received that approved (unless there is a request for evidence (RFE).

When you get to NVC its all communications via email and paying fees online money drawn from a US bank is all the online processing you have. Everything else is mail in.

I know all the details. Her father already did this process for 2 of her sisters. and they took about 6-7 months from file to interview. So I'm hoping for the same timeframe. Oh trust me. I'm not leaving without the marriage certificate. There is actually more paperwork involved with that than the I-130! I also need her birth certificate no?

Ahh. I need to bring forms down. Funny I do not have that written down. Not worried about gathering evidence. Almost all of our conversation have been through whatsapp which saves everything including fotos and we have missed a day since we met.

I figured that. But I have seen some cases go faster in regard to the approval and just want to be prepared just in case.
