yeah, based on having no rent/lease and no 'career' he wont get through.

If i was him, i would work on making as much $$$ moving forward especially considering the dollar ect. and to save money for when you are together as he wont be able to work for 3 months AFTER you file for AOS. Also, AOS is $1070USD!!! Make sure you guys have that saved up!

He should also research schools and figure out what he wants to study. It isn't easy to find work in America especially with no solid career goals. Maybe he can spend the year working on a trade? I am not sure what career opportunities are available in PA, but maybe those are things he should consider. He should do some courses for when he wants to go study down there. And school in Canada is wayyy cheaper than in the states, so he should really take that into consideration. How is he going to finance college down there? You guys seem young and i am sure you will figure it out, but i am just kind of putting it out there some things for him to work on this year apart.

Good luck!!

His goal is to get his Bachelors in Sociology. That's what his major was when he was a freshman. It was family events that led him to not go to school this year. My schooling is relatively inexpensive and i'm eventually going to pay for it all myself. My dad is going to be his cosponsor for the I-134 and will also be co-signing his loans for school as well. Community college is also an option if he doesn't want to go to my school (technically a university) and it's inexpensive. $400 per class sometimes. There is a lot of industry where I live (3rd largest city in PA) and he could always be a blue collar worker with union benefits for the rest of his life if he wanted to. We are very young indeed. I'm 18 and he's 19, but we are old souls and are much more mature than what we seem. We will work this out :)

that list will not guarantee admission...it's a suggestion....but can lead to more questions....sounds like waiting for the K1 is best.,..

I'm thinking I will wait it out. The monetary risk is a lot anyway...

Everyone gets lucky once in a while;) however, now that they are 'flagged' they will immediately go to secondary where he WILL have to show ties.

WOW you guys are really really young to get married! I really wish you the best and hope it works out. Their are just alot of things you should really think about and figure out.

Your mom wont even let you go visit him, i hope she is ok with you marrying him:)

Good luck!!!

He should research careers with sociology. Honestly I've read it is one of the more useless degrees to have.

He's going to major in sociology and minor in psychology. Or if he chooses that college isn't for him being a blue collar worker is always a choice here.
