Hi, I submitted my documents for exceptional hardship for my U.S. born child, on November 20, 2015. DoS received my document on Dec 06, 2015. It shows pending in both cases. Francis, can you please update your situation? I have a job starts in August, and my J-1visa expires in May. I don't know whether I have to start filing for H-1B visa. I am subject based on skill list. Any thoughts? Thank you

Hi Zarajon,

Think you can start preparing by collating your papers for your H1B,normally there is a one month of grace after J1 expiration.Hopefully you get your waiver before then, but from what i know i think the waiver is required for H1B .I believe you have a good chance.
