Hi fellow VJ's

I'm new to this site and just want to know if anyone here has been approved this month and have received their nvc case number. we got approved January 12th 2016 and I started to call yesterday to check if they have received our documents (I read some of the tags to wait 2 weeks after approval to start calling) but was informed that they don't have any record for me yet and was told that it takes 35 days for ncv to receive the documents from USCIS then another 42 days to have a case number. is anyone got the same statement ? and for those who had receive their case number did you call or receive a letter and how long did you wait ? apologize if I have so many question its nerve wrecking to wait without any tracking. :clock:

thanks everyone and goodluck to us :goofy:

Hi! You are being fed the scripted answer. The wait about 10 business days (not including weekends, cuz nothing happens on the weekends).

I called every evening about 10 pm eastern time. That way they had all day to receive and process. When it got Closer to10 days and after they told me the regular 35 day answer I asked "are you able to verify if the file has been received" and the lady I talked to was able to do just that thoug there was still no number. That came the next day (again, In the evening)

Ther s no limit to how often you can call those guys. Just be extra nice and polite, I think that helped me anyway

NVC will eventually send a hard copy with numbers, but it's faster if u call them and get it

Hi! We got approved on January 12, 2016 as well and haven't heard anything from NVC yet either. The NOA2 we received said to wait 30 days before contacting them, so I've been trying to wait patiently. I guess we're right at the 10 business days mark now, so hopefully we'll be hearing soon!

Pay no attention to the tier-one reps at the NVC. The NVC will receive your case any day now, and they will assign it a case number fairly quickly. Keep calling them until they give you your MNL case number. Once you have your MNL case number, you can pay the visa application fee, schedule an interview, and complete the medical.

I just called NVC and they have received our case, assigned our MNL number and its on its way to the consulate! :content: As mentioned previously, we received our NOA2 on Jan. 12, so if you're around the same time, I'd try calling...they might have good news for you!

You have an MNL case number? Are you interviewing in Manila? Your profile flag shows Brazil.

Sorry for the confusion, we have a Rio de Janeiro case number. My fiancé is interviewing in Brazil.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Hi cristina16,

My Fiancee and I are also processing K1 Visa and got an approval last January 19, 2016.

I would like to know if you are the one (from the Philippines) calling to NVC to get your MNL Case Number? If so, how can I contact NVC from the Philippines and what is the best time (MNL Time) to call them?

Thank you in advance! :)
