I have a question about what you do and do not need to submit with the I-134.

The directions for the form list including letters from your bank and employer.

I read things to the contrary such as..."If you qualify on income alone then a tax transcript for at least the most recent tax year and a recent letter from your employer. That's all. Nothing else is needed in the majority of cases. You don't need bank statements unless you're using assets to qualify or you're self-employed."

If I qualify on income alone, are we good with only the following...

1. Letter from employer

2. Most recent W-2s (or even the past 3-4 yrs worth)

??

Thank you!

My fiance took my last 3 years tax transcripts, 2 recent paystubs, letter from employer. No bank statements.

I forgot, of course I have paystubs too.

Do the W-2s work in place of the tax transcripts? Just seems easier and more concise, but I rather give them what they want.

Thanks again!!

Okay good. I have paystubs too of course!!

:)

Thanks!!

1. Letter from employer Yes

2. Most recent W-2s (or even the past 3-4 yrs worth) No, need a copy of your complete tax return filing, all copies of all forms which will include the W2. Better yet, the free IRS tax transcripts for those years.

?? Copies of a few recent pay summaries or pay stubs.

Thank you!

Sorry to jump in here - but I'm a US citizen, born and lived in Australia my life. K1 interview has been scheduled for my partner who lives with me. My current job will be continuing when we move to the US - so what documents would I need? I've technically only been a US citizen for a year (got my passport jan 2015).

I can get a letter from my employer, but would I need to file a US tax return for $0 and include that? Or should I include my AU tax return instead?

Thanks,

Kurt
