Do you think they prescreen couples by going to their Facebook and Instagram pages to glean evidence or lack thereof? I ask, because it appears, from some of the reviews I've read from some embassies, the COs seem "tipped off" and go in hard on some couples from the start while others they seem to be far less grilling. Granted, I realize some people are not into social media sites or prefer to keep their love life and relationships off of it, but was just wondering if this was a possible aspect of their prescreening (because I believe they do some crosschekcs behind the scenes). Heck, I heard a story where a CO boldly told one women (the beneficiary) that her husband had a while other family life going on in the states. Another one asked a male spouse how does he know his wife is the right one?

Sure they are tipped off. By our evidence our history. The immigrant hp has been petitioned before. Other relationships, married before children from prior relationships.

Some couples yes they are cut and dry nothing comes up to make a CO think they need to dig deeper. But others they take a deeper look and some even deeper they get AP after Interview for more investigation.

During the time your case is at embassy until interview there's checks. There could have been a note from USCIS in a file "to check this or that".

If there's nothing there there's nothing there. I know of some who the CO uncovered multiple email addresses where the immigrant and even petitioner was talking to others that made the relationship not look bonafide.

I figured as much. They are probanly like potential employers or other government agencies who "check you out" before meeting you.

No worries on my end, but figured I'd toss it out for discussion.

I hear ya.

In all my adventures and helps through the years. I am always amazed people submitting evidence and don;t even bother to read it. They will send in 500 pages of whatsapp and Facebook than come back after denial or AP they don;t know what happened. Arguments, talking about other men and women causing issues in relationship. Man people better look over their chats better.

Always assume that a good CO will have checked into your social-media accounts.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yeah, they're probably checking this site to see what the public is saying about them and hopefully gleaning ideas of how the process can be better or get better.

Yes, they can probably disqualify quite a bit of folks just based on their antics on social media, meaning, recognizing that they are not "really married" or engaged. Sure, I don't expect them to NOT see marital frustrations (like this long, drawn out process), arguments and disagreements, but what I am sure they don't want to see is them being played for fools with bogus cases.
