Hi Guys, I have Question. I hope you guys could help me.

My K-1 Visa Embassy Interview been approved and the CO says my Visa will be deliver in 2 weeks.

Do you guys have any idea if i really get my Visa in 2 weeks after been approved or i can get it more earlier than 2 weeks?

Does anyone of you guys been experienced that CO says your visa will received in 2 week and get it less than 2 weeks time?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Cases may differ in the process of issuance...



Mine was ready- open on the same day of my interview. after 2 days it was on AP. Then the next day it was issued- 4 days from my interview. I received my passport / visa packet 8 working days from my interview. Some says it was fast for a K1. So that was under 2 weeks.



Another K1 who was interviewed on the same day as me had her visa status - issued 10 working days from interview. So just continue monitoring your case at CEAC, it is normal to be on AP for awhile.

Normal processing time is 5-10 business days. Monitor your visa at CEAC. The only way to speed this process up, but only about 2 days earlier, is to have had your visa sent to 2go in MOA.

I did check my Visa Status to the link you gave and it says my Visa Issued. :) So that mean i can get my visa anytime soon?:)

From Issued I got mine after 3 working days.. Yes, you will get it soon! When are you planning to leave? Tickets are expensive!

From Issued I got mine after 3 working days.. Yes, you will get it soon! When are you planning to leave? Tickets are expensive!

Oh really? Very nice:) I hope ill get my soon:)

I actually have ticket already. My fiancee bought me ticket even if I didn't have approval from embassy already;) We did check the price of ticket if few day before the date i want to leave and the ticket is real expensive. So we booked early. Where you going in US?

Warning to Others

This is a note for others from the USEM Embassy Letter. We have had others here on the sub-forum who ignored this advise and it cost them dearly in rebooking fees. Your visa can be delayed and 30 days is not unheard of.

Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of property, or resign from your job
until a visa has been issued and delivered to you. Generally, a single-entry fiancé(e) (K1) nonimmigrant visa
is valid for six months from the date of issuance, unless its validity is limited by medical or other restrictions.
