I can't wrap my head around life without bacon, but I think the sponsor of the bill in question is offering up some weak sauce on why he is proposing making pork mandatory.

Agreed, I am all for them deciding to keep immigration numbers to a point so as to not significantly change their culture but forcing something as trivial as the type of meat that can be put on a menu seems to be the wrong way to go about protecting a culture.
