A huge Congratulations to you! My husband (from UK) just passed his driving tests and got his licence a couple of days ago :)

So glad the link for the I-94 I left here for you helped you out.

The first time I found that site I got very excited thinking I was going to have an easy time finding out all of my trips but there are NONE because of land crossing not being recorded.

you need to provide the I-94, at least here in Buffalo, NY, before you can proceed with your license. and of course, you'll also need your SSN. This is where you can find your I-94:

https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/consent.html;jsessionid=CKQGWsKPxY4NCtlBqy2CGLyzByLtnjf22wx1QLKqQhJVnRzlhqwq!1808615784

Unfortunately, i came over on a G1 ontario license (my g2 expired years ago and i only used transit for school) and had to start ALL over, and do the written test once i came to buffalo. Then i had to do some silly five hour course, (waste of time  ) to be eligible for the drive test. i showed up for my drive test this past week and was denied because i did not have the PHOTO learner permit card, only the paper one given to me after i did the written test. so those who didn't have to wait for the photo card, you're lucky!!! but just wanted to point out that in NY state, the photo card seems to be required for the actual driving test. this whole process may be different for someone entering with a G2, (and obviously with a G, they switch it right over), but i wish i had this type of information before moving!
