It's quite but normal. AOS applications can run from 4 to 6 months on average or even up to 1 year in some cases. There're backlogs nationally with most USCIS field offices stretching many around 7 to 9 months now. As a K1 applicant if you happen to receive notice of potential interview waiver, it could drag you up to a year. It's been just over a month so be patient, and if you want to have an idea about priority dates with you local field offices go to uscis.gov and check processing for your city.

Starkilla09 is right. Don't expect much until 5 months have passed. Each person is different so we can't say for sure what yours is. Need a little more patience. To get an idea see my signature below as I have posted my AOS timeline which will give you a very rough idea. We didn't have an interview so ours was shorter. With interview expect 2 months more of waiting but your mileage may differ.

Ah, you're up by Sun City. Been through there a few times. We just left AZ last year, escape the heat. ;)

@ Darnell, simply because I'm not used of just staying at home. And I need an income.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaah. money.

are you getting out each day, having yer spouse drop you at the biggest university nearby ? there's lots of cool stuff there for job seekers, and its useful to hang out in the library with a librarian or team of librarians, with them teaching you how to do research in their library system. Plus you can meet new friends and enjoy some nice food.

OR...

volunteer at one of the MANY Chambers of Commerce around your area, learning the calendars and types of events. It's fun to do, as you actually meat the business owners during a non-hiring event and they will remember you after seeing you the 3rd or 4th event (and by then yer EAD card will have arrived).

If none of this makes sense, ask your spouse about it.

@ Darnell, thanks for the suggestions I appreciate it. Hank is absolutely right, it's not about money, I need an income. Because I have personal needs and wants as well that I don't want to depend on my spouse. Hahaha
