So I filled for my Green card and I already have my temporary work travel/work permit which will run out mid March so looks like I may have to extend that

Anyways my husband is military and has been told he may or may not deploy within a few months so that's kind of up in the air but also he can also recently since he joined a new squadron there has been a number of times he can be sent out of state with only a few days warning .he can be gone anything from a few days or weeks at a time.

Is there any point in me calling uscis to try and speed things up with the risk of him deploying or being sent somewhere out of state or am I just going to be told to wait in line

You can use the Military Help Line at USCIS to see if they would be able to expedite your petition: http://www.uscis.gov/military/military-help-line

I'm not sure if they'll grant the request but it's always worth a shot!
