Hey I sent in my application along with the G-1145 to notify me when they accept the package. It was delivered Friday morning. Im just wondering how long does it take before they accept and let you know via text and email as stated? Thanks!! Just anxious to know its in the process. :joy:

Probably in the next couple days, ive seen it take from a couple days to 3 weeks in extreme cases. But average is around 8 to 10 days for the confirmation to be sent

It took 2 weeks for us, but that's including christmas and new years. So maybe 8 work days.

Oh darn it lol I was hoping soon. So it takes that long before they move it to the correct center as well? Or is that why you get your first letter within 2-3 weeks? Thanks for the replies!

Everyone's time will be different, because humans are involved. For me personally, I mailed on 12/01. It was signed and delivered on 12/03 (fed-ex proof of delivery), 4 days after they got it I got my NOA1 electronically, and 4 days after that I got the physical copy.

Mine was mailed out the day after you're on 20th Jan I got email notification from usps to say it was picked up from lockbox on Monday (25th) i am now desperately awaiting news of NOA1 via email/text.... It's going to be a long few months ahead if this last few days is anything to go by! My absolute lack of patience doesn't help the situation either! Lol

You would be forgiven for thinking I typed that last post with my toes! Apologies for my spelling and grammar, in my defence it's 11:45pm in the UK and I'm squinting at my iPhone whilst lying in bed trying to find an edit key which clearly isn't an option on the mobile site!

Usually a few (stressful) days. Mine was delivered nov 27 and I got the text/email Dec 2.

K-1

Nov 23, 2015: I-129F Packet sent to Dallas
Dec 8, 2015: NOA1 hard copy received - Notice dated Dec 1
Jan 16, 2016: NOA2 hard copy received- Noticed dated Jan 11

March 31, 2016: Interview- approved!

June 30, 2016: POE Boston

July 2, 2016: Married

AOS

July 7, 2016: AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago

July 18, 2016: NOA 1 hard copies received

August 11, 2016: Biometric walk in completed

September 22, 2016: EAD/AP Approval notice

November 14, 2017: AOS Interview- approved on the spot!

December 1, 2017: 2 year conditional green card received

ROC

September 16, 2019: I-751 sent

September 23, 2019: NOA1 and 18 month GC extension letter received- packet headed to Vermont

July 25, 2020: Approved, no interview

While a few months ago, mine took a few days. Sent it early A.M. on the 27th of September and got the text around 5pm Central on October 1st (I remember this because I got pretty emotional aha). Might be a little faster than average though since when I took the packet to the post office I just told them I didn't care how much it cost just send this whatever way it will get there fastest. :P

Just a heads up though, there have been times where people who have filled out the g-1145 did not receive texts or emails. It's rare but possible. If it has been a while, most people suggest keeping an eye on whether or not the check you sent along with the packet has been cashed within the next few weeks. There is also of course the option of calling them to see if they received anything if it has been a while as well.

Either way, good luck on your visa journey and I hope you aren't apart for very long! I just returned from visiting my fiance on Friday and for me the first few weeks away from them is always the hardest.

Exactly. We are in the ROC phase now awaiting adjudication, and we included G-1145 forms with everything we've ever submitted (I-129F, AOS/EAD/AP, and ROC) and have never received a text or email from USCIS - not even once. So don't panic too much if you don't receive electronic notification. Just keep an eye out for the other things as mentioned (check clearance, paper notification, etc...).
