London Embassy Packet 3 Question

Timeline

We just received our NOA2, so awaiting the NVC info and then packet info from the London Embassy. We are on a very tight schedule, as our wedding is already set for August, and my fiancee Chris and I are currently in New Zealand, and Chris will not return to the UK until just before his interview date.

Chris lived in the States already for 18 months, but on a J-1 visa. Will he need a police check for that time?

Any other tips on ways to get things done from abroad? We want to make sure that we don't lose any time with filling in the forms and getting signature sent back for submission.

Hi! I have received packet 3 now and can you that it does state that 'every visa applicant aged 16 years and over is required to submit a police certificate from police authorities for their country AND each country where the applicant has resided for at least one year since attaining the age of sixteen'.
