Forgot to send beneficiary's G325a

Hello everybody.

My husband sent the I130 application to the Phoenix Lockbox on Friday. But we just realized that he forgot to attach my G325a form due to some printer issue. Instead we sent his G325a twice and I signed one of them as I thought that it was my G325a. We are terrible with paperwork and now we both feel very silly :-(....what would you advise us to do about this?

Do you think that the Lockbox will return the form? Was should we do to avoid too much of a delay? I feel devastated.

First meeting: 04/14/12

Wedding: 11/23/15

You will be contacted in due course to send the missing document. It will delay the process slightly. Have the document ready so that when you are contacted you can send it right away to the address they give you.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

I feel devastated as I am worried that it might delay the process a lot. I already miss my husband a lot :(

While they could technically deny based on improper submission, the most likely scenario is that you will receive an RFE.

Thank you. I really hope that it won't get denied as this would cause a serious delay. I am freaking out....

What about the fact that I signed my name on the wrong form? He sent me a form to sign and it happened to be his g325a. This is where the problem came from

It's a simple oversight...in all likeliness, you'll get an RFE, you'll send in the document and that will be that. They're not going to come knocking on your door because you accidentally signed the wrong form.

Met: December 2009

Married: April 2015

Received CR-1 visa: February 2017

POE (as IR-1): April 2017

Oath ceremony: November 2020

It's a simple oversight...in all likeliness, you'll get an RFE, you'll send in the document and that will be that. They're not going to come knocking on your door because you accidentally signed the wrong form.
