Touchdown!!! I hope Arizona comes back to at least make it a close game. Don't care who wins. First game was good…down to the wire.

Yep the first game was awesome. The second game was not even competitive.

Congrats to Denver, they were the better team on Sunday. Broncos defense destroyed the Pats O-line. Pats O-line coach was fired yesterday.

Belichick looked like he was going to burst a vessel at the end of the game..In his mind, the man simply does not loose

I think Belichick made some big mistakes in the last half of the season that cost the Pats home field advantage and more than likely another trip to the Superbowl. If that game is in Foxboro, the Denver defense doesn't get the jump off the line they got at home and with the crowd noise, Peyton doesn't get to call his game at the line like he did in Denver. Home field is huge in the NFL playoffs and Belichick made some pretty bad decisions during the regular season that cost the Pats at least two (maybe three) games and that home field advantage.

Have the Pat's peaked out or will they be stronger next year?

Last time they played, Belichick cut the punt returner after the game for a muffed catch.

I'm not sure I'd blame the O-Line coach though. With all the injuries they had, couldn't expect the O-Line to hold up. They did pretty good last year when they were healthy IIRC, winning the superbowl and all. I guess Bill doesn't mess around.

People thought the Pats were peaked out after they won 3 of 4 Superbowls back in the early 2000's and they're still going strong over 10 years later. If not for injuries, they might have run the table during the regular season this year and they would more than likely be in the SB in two weeks. The Pats have a real good mix of veterans and younger guys and they are always cap smart. Aside from Brady, they have one of the youngest teams in the NFL. I think as long as they have Robert Kraft as their owner they will always be competitive. And as long as they have Belichick and Brady they will always be elite. Brady says he wants to play another 5 years or so and he hasn't shown any diminish in his skills (like Manning has at 39), to say he can't. Brady had one of his best seasons ever this year at the age of 38. What the Pats are doing as an organization goes against all the rules that were set up to bring parody to the league.

Oddly enough that muffed punt was the start of a terrible second half of the season too. The Pats went 3-5 in their last 8 games after that muffed punt and made some strange un-Patriot like mistakes down the stretch.

There have been stories that the Pats center Brian Stork was tipping his snaps with a slight head bob and that's what was giving teams a jump off the line the last half of the season and in the Denver game. Also rumored that there are differences in coaching manners between Bill and the O-line coach Deguglielmo, they don't see eye to eye on some things. When that happens you know Bill isn't going anywhere.
