The Request for Evidence was sent to me because I forgot to sign one of the forms. I signed it and sent it back the next day.

I rememebr it should say "Valid for work with DHS authorization only". DHS authorization - it's either EAD card, either Green Card. If OP's social security card says that, every employer must request valid DHS authorization document prior hiring, and if there is none, they should not hire holder of such limited SS card.

Just curious, what did you put on the G325 form when you filed the AOS? There is a section regarding employment history, so if you were working I the US before filing the AOS package, did you put this down on that form?

To be honest, I can't remember. It has been so long since I applied. I heard my case was moved to El Paso, TX. It is going through some sort of interview wavier. Not sure how long it has been there for or how long it usually takes.

Didn't you keep a copy of all the paperwork you submitted to the Government agencies?

If you haven't been keeping copies before, it's time to make a habit of keeping copies from now.

Didn't your SS Card have stamp that said it's not valid to work without DHS approval? Did you not try to find out how to obtain DHS approval before getting a job?
