Letter to the ambassador

Hi Everyone,

I've became a USC about 2 - 3 years ago and due to work, college and other life difficulties, I couldn't take a vacation to go back home so my dad can meet his grandson ( 6 year old ).

My father applied for a tourist visa 2 times and been rejected with the reason that the embassy can't guarantee that you will come back (rejections were given in word not on paper).

Note: my mother and 2 sisters have tourist visas to USA, UK, Australia and none of us ever thought about never going back to our country.

I was thinking about writing a letter to the ambassador explaining the situation and how grandchild shouldn't be prevented from knowing his grandfather because of a denied visa.

My father is 60+ years old, which would make it difficult for a man at this age to overstay his visit.

Is there a sample letter that I can take a look at, are there any ideas or a certain way to address this issue? I know this might not work at all, but I would appreciate any help.

Thank you in advance for your help and time.

I hate to be negative but your letter would be a waste of paper.

There's nothing that you can write, do or say that would sway the opinion of the interviewing officer.

If it was as easy as having someone write a letter then there'd never be any denials.

Begs the question why the Ambassador.

Can you wife not take him to Egypt?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Well, she can take him but 7 days off from work won't be enough. It will be 2 days to go there, 2 days to come back and 3 days to stay, which will be much worse for my father than simply waiting till he comes here and spend some time with my son rather than forcing and rushing to know him then in 3 days they are apart again.

Thank you everyone for your advice.

your father not have enough strong ties in Egypt. Study the NIV requirements a bit more..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

the ambassador does not care if your father does not know his grandchild when your wife could easily get on a plane to bring child to visit your father. Don't waste your breath

Takes 2 days to get to Egypt?

Egypt was a popular holiday destination from the UK, 6 hours. And the rest can be getting from the US to the UK?

Take more that 7 days seems to be the obvious answer.

I used to get a flight to the US Friday morning and come back overnight Sunday and get 9 days using 6 days holiday.
