So, we're at the step right after selecting the agent at the NVC, and we already have the NVC case and IID numbers. When it comes to paying the AoS fee, the annoying issue comes up again where we can't pay by credit card, but have to pay through a local USA bank.

I see on the payment page there's a sample bank cheque. Could we go to an Australia bank, get the cheque made, and fill in the routing, cheque and account number from the physical cheque onto the payment page?

Alternatively, I see on this website: http://canberra.usembassy.gov/iv-fees.html that we can pay in AUD to the Canberra embassy. Can I do it this way, instead? The only downside with this is that I can't see what the AoS fee is after conversion, so maybe they don't accept it?

When I paid for the I-130, we got a bank cheque and just mailed it with all the other documents. Hopefully, I won't have to resort to this route again...

Thank you all for any advice that you may provide.
