I applied for AOS with my maiden last name which is now reflected on my green card. But I have my SSN with married/husband's last name (US citizen) and I want to have his last name on all my legal documents from here on.. So can I apply i-751 with married last name so that the new card that I receive has it or will they reject it as it will not match my name on the green card?

Has anyone faced this issue before?

very confused! Someone please guide!!

I-751 has a section for other names used, with a woman in the USA can either go by her maiden or married name, strictly up to you. But if using your married name, required a marriage certificate to proof it. Just enclose your marriage certificate. Same with your SS card and driver's license.

Wife had no problem switching from her maiden to married name, not did millions of other women.
