I got married yesterday! (L) We have submitted our marriage license to the Public Health and Social Services this morning, got our marriage cert. and now we will be applying for a social security number/card next week.

We requested for a SSN application form and have read the list of evidence documents.

Here are my questions:

1. Evidence of Age - A copy of my Philippine passport will do?

2. Evidence of Identity -the form indicates that "If you are not a US Citizen, we must see your current US Immigration document and your foreign passport with biographical information or photograph." - will a photocopy of the K1/K2 visa sufficient?

3. Evidence of US Citizenship - since we are just going to apply for AOS, should we wait for an email/mail from USCIS before we can proceed on applying for an SSN?

4. Evidence of Immigration Status - Form I-94 - printing it from https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov sufficient enough?

Thank you in advance for the replies.

Congrats on you marriage!

All info from the SS-5 instructions:

1. Passport or birth certificate are acceptable

2. Passport w/ visa AND copy of the I-94

3. Not Applicable. You will NOT have U.S. citizenship after AOS either. ;) (Question 5, check the 3rd box )

4. I-94 with 2 weeks or more of validity

Hello po!

Karamihan po ng employees sa Social Security sa Guam Pinoy. Passport with visa and I-94 lang po ang kailangan niyo. Kung meron na po yung marriage certificate niyo, dalhin niyo na lang din po.
