I went to the DMV to get my California State ID and I was told that my i94 need to get renew before they can issue me one....

I asked where I go to get it renew and they told the Federal Building.....Now today I went to the federal building and unfortunate i didnt get the renewal. The immigration officer told me that the PORT OF ENTRY have given me until march to get married so i should get married before march and file all papers work included EAD. I am so confused....can somebody please help me to understand??? Thank you. (my i-94 says admit until 03/12/2016)

....and will EAD help me now?

~God bless~

The I-94 is a record of departures and arrivals to the country, it can not be renewed unless you were to exit and reenter. You need to get married and submit all AOS paperwork, once you receive your NOA take that to the DMV and apply for an ID card, they might accept it.

Yes, to get EAD you have to first get married and then file for either just EAD or AOS with EAD and AP. If you file for EAD and AP with AOS, there is just the one fee. However, if you file for EAD/AP without AOS, then you have to pay for each on their own...and still pay the fee for AOS later - which would be the same amount as if you'd filed for them jointly.

AOS receipt does not satisfy the legal presence document requirement for driver's licenses/IDs in California, as well as most other states.

You need to get married, and then apply for Adjustment of Status (with Form I-485). Together with that, you can apply for an EAD (with Form I-765) and Advance Parole (with Form I-131) for free. EAD/AP take about 3 months to get after applying. So you should plan for time to get married + time to get documents to file AOS + 3 months.

Technically you can get an EAD before you get married, but because it will expire the day the I-94 expires, it will be of no use to you, and there is a filing fee.

Get married, apply for AOS, include EAD/AP (free when filing with AOS) and wait for the EAD. Then you can get a state ID. Unfortunately for now you are in K-1 limbo.

One thing you should do now is get your SSN, if you don't have one already.

All comments make sense. I appreciate it all.

Can someone please tell me how to go about filing for all those? Or can maybe send me a link with the forms? Thank you

Usually you can get a DL with an I94 from a K1, but it would only be valid for the period of the I94 (much like an EAD prior to marriage as Lainie pointed out). This might have been what the DMV person was referring to. When my fiancé arrived and after we got married, we did go to the DMV for a learner's permit, and the clerk let us know the same information that it will only be valid for the period of the I94. We decided to go ahead and get it since my wife needed all the instruction we could get, then we went back and got her licenses once she got her GC.

Good Luck!

Ok. Do you know if I can use the customer copy for license marriage certificate to file the AOS? Since the original will takes 6-8 weeks to "put in the system." Smh, so much work. Oh, we got married on Saturday. ?

Check if you have one stamped "True copy of the original" if you have that one you can go ahead and use it until you received the original to show at the interview if they asked..
