Hi. My parent's case got scanned in the system at NVC on 01/12/2016. The representative said that it could take up to 42 days to create a case(then I will know the case number). I would like to start collecting documents,so once the NVC inform me the case number, I can mail the package right away. So could someone please tell me what documents I need to mail along with the I-864 for parents of a US citizen? Thank you in advance!

your birth certificate showing them as your parents,

plus

all of the stuff listed in the link below.

Can't see the link, you say ? Come back on a PC, and you'll see it.. Click through, it's the Bible for NVC Processing, and it's current.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Darnell,

I have a question about documents of Affidavit of Support. I (the sponsor) do not have income, and my husband (the household member) is a student, his income does not meet the 125% requirement, but we have a joint sponsor. My question is that should I just use a sponsor and skip the household of member part?

Thank you in advance.
