You've already admitted your reason is not uniformly applicable, which by the definition of reason means it isn't reasonable.

and your data is uniformly applicable? not. at. all.

i've not seen any data that islam makes a person worse. i've searched, and i asked you to provide it. you can only show me the links between terrorism and islam. not the same thing. if they were the same thing - all followers of islam would be terrorists - or terrorists waiting to happen. this isn't true. this is not uniformly applicable.

i wasn't hoping you'd eventually share my opinion, i said i hope you'd understand my opinion. but i guess hope in one hand..you know how it goes.

the internet seems to think that's up for debate..depends on if there's gambling involved.

Those debating it are not real Muslims.

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Sheikh declared chess is forbidden in Islam when he was asked about the game on a television show.

The top religious official said chess was “included under gambling” and was “a waste of time and money and a cause for hatred and enmity between players.” the Guardian reports. A verse in the Qur’an bans “intoxicants, gambling, idolatry and divination.”

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

IKR?! obviously, he doesn't speak for all muslims. american muslim families are not marrying their daughters off at 10 so i bet (oops) it's safe to say you could find some chess playing muslims. be vigilant. if you see something - say something!

This is just you showing you don't understand even the basics of statistics and how they are used to study populations.

Not all smoking gives people lung cancer. Not all lung cancer is caused by smoking. Smoking wildly increases the odds of lung cancer. But in your view smoking is not bad for you unless it's bad for 100% of people equally. I'm afraid I cannot fill the role of helping you to understand how data is used to study populations. If you care (you've shown no interest in it), you'll have to google it yourself. There is plenty of data out there.

Anyway, for others in this thread who care about statistics, germane to this thread: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_in_Sweden

Two reports from the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (BRÅ) are relevant to the rate of rape among immigrants to Sweden and their descendants. The latest published report that indicates the association between immigrants and rape was published in 2005 and revealed that from 1997 to 2001 foreign born individuals were 5.5 times more likely to be charged of rape than individuals born in Sweden to two Swedish parents and that foreign born individuals from all regions, apart from East Asia, committed sexual assaults at rates up to 5.3 times greater than that of individuals born in Sweden to two Swedish parents.

Good luck!

East Asia seems problematic. OTOH, where the heck is East Asia ?

ETA - oh, I gots it backwards (like an innie vs an outie) - East Asia immigrants not commit rape in Sweden. Cool !

the bold? that isn't my view. see where you misunderstand my thinking.

smoking a cigarette is not comparable to practicing a religion..you don't go to the doctor for head xrays if you believe jesus rose from the dead after three days in the hole. you don't catch terrorist disease if you frequent one too many mosques. i completely agree with you, you're not going to get me to understand how partaking in a religion is comparable to partaking in physical substances such as cigarettes.

The fact you just wrote what you wrote simply underscores what I said earlier; you literally know nothing about statistics. Heck, you can't even abstract a simple argument to something else, which is why somebody else had to link you to what an analogy means. The good news is I will spend less time in the future on you with these topics because I think the gap in our education is simply too far for me to bridge on a forum and the cruelty of Dunning-Kruger ensures that you don't even realize what you are doing.

Good luck!

Non-immigrants hate transgender people too. Lots of Christians assault transgenders too. Keep that in mind.

6. A White Frat Boy Did It So That Makes It OK

This is more peaceful, tolerant behavior by practitioners of the Religion of Peace

Yep. Won't let them raise the marriage age here.
