Thank you.

My interview should be first week of June.

I guess (that's just my guess) that my Oath Ceremony might be on July 04, 2016 - Independence Day.

Good thing is I will be a US Citizen on the Fourth of July

Bad thing is I will have to wait 1 month after my interview.

Fourth of July would be cool, especially since it's her b-day. Hope you hear something soon.

My wife is still waiting on the letter with the date/time. I've actually changed my mind about going with her and will do so since she filed under the 3-yr rule. I know it was a joint incomplete ROC/N-400 case, but I saw an N-400 denied because the spouse didn't attend. What's a couple of hours out of the office? Better to go and not be needed than have any issues with my favorite Federal agency.

The spouse isn't allowed in the interview room, so attending has no actual impact if you're going to just be sitting in the waiting room. I just think that incident was an IO on PMS.

Yeah, I know. But, if I'm waiting outside, and the issue comes up, she can tell them that's where I am. Our local office is very close - 15 minutes away, at most. I can go there and be away from the office for under 2 hours, if they don't take their sweet time.

Actually, that incident was related to the applicant applying for naturalization before removing conditions (N400 filed while ROC was pending). This is perfectly legitimate and there's nothing wrong with it, but since the ROC review was officially open, it was not particularly unusual for the interviewer to want to see the spouse.

That doesn't mean the interview wasn't in a bad mood... she probably was.

But your comment about N400 spouses not being allowed in the interview rule, is correct in the vast majority of cases... I've only read about 2 or 3 where a spouse was invited in and those were all in cases with unusually friendly interviewers.

Thanks Jimmy.

I've just always done everything by myself unless my spouse was required at the interview (AOS). I sit at biometrics by myself etc etc. I personally don't believe in babysitting. If the interviewer wants to see my spouse, s/he can call him on my phone and tell him to run down to Congress Pkwy.

Still waiting on the interview letter also. I'll also be going with her, not because I think she wouldn't be approved without me though, but I really want to be her moral support and congratulate her right after. I love the smile on her face when she gets out of things like this.
