One Month "IN LINE FOR INTERVIEW" :ranting:

I've read in other month filers threads that USCIS doesn't put you in line until the background check comes back OK so just being in line is a good sign. The delay is because the local office is busy and not because there is a problem with your specific case.

Honestly, by my calculations for Orlando, getting scheduled this week would be a nice surprise, next week would be good and the following week would be "on time". It's coming!!

N-400

That's nice. The notice says it'll be two hours... and i'm like OMG what do we talk about for two hours?! If it's ten minutes, that'll be really good.

EDIT: This is my 1000th post!

I do too! lol

I did see one Orlando case that was scheduled only 2 weeks after being put in line, so there's still hope.

The interview went great, I was out in about 15 minutes. We started with the promise to tell the truth (I raised my right hand and sworn to tell the truth during the interview), then the officer asked me for some documents (GC, DL, Passport); After that the officer reviewed my N-400 application, and asked me questions from the application (if i had any convictions and such); then he asked me if I had any changes in my life circumstances since filing form N-400 (If I am still married). I signed like 4 papers through out the entire process. After that he asked me to read a sentence, write down a sentence, and then started asking me the oral test questions:

1- What group of people was taken to America and sold as slaves?

2- Why did the colonists fight the British?

3- Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

4- When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?

5- What is the highest court in the United States?

6- What is the name of the Vice President of the United States now?

He then told me that I will be receiving a letter by mail regarding the date and place of the Oath Ceremony :)

Then a police report about your lost GC or a USCIS receipt showing payment for a replacement comes in handy!

A police report? Really? For misplacing/losing a green card?

That's nice. The notice says it'll be two hours... and i'm like OMG what do we talk about for two hours?! If it's ten minutes, that'll be really good.

Smh, you should know how USCIS works by now. Wait for an hour and fifty-five minutes and having a brief five minute interview.
