N-400 February 2016 Filers

My husband isn't a fan of it either - which is why he didn't even want to use the credit card payment. "They have enough of our personal things, they don't need our credit card numbers to boot". He was nervous even about the folder where I had all these things, because god forbid if that folder went missing, that was a full dossier on us.

I sent a statement per quarter, but I really didn't want to send in the transactions pages, which is what they wanted to see for ROC.

I wasn't as directly involved in her N-400 filing as I was for the earlier steps, so I didn't even realize that CC payment was an option these days. If I had known, I actually would have preferred to have paid that way so we could, at least, have received some cash back or airline miles out of the deal! lol

On a brighter note..just got a text message from USCIS

Interview Was Scheduled

On April 14, 2016, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC*011111011111. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Maybe I'm wrong but when I apply for citizenship 6 years ago, they sent me a yellow letter before the interview letter, asking for my passports when going for the interview. Are they still sending that Yellow Letter?

I think they discontinued "yellow letters".

Everything is by email/text/online now.

Haha. I asked him, and he said what he said, so I sent in a check. He also prefers doing our taxes by hand on paper because none of the e-filing options available to us are by the IRS. They're all third party.

It worked out perfect because my 4th wedding anniversary is on may 17 (2 days before my interview) and my husband and I planned a romantic getaway to sanibel island on friday 20 just a day after my interview!!

I think I've had this stupid waiting for interview scheduling on my mind too much. Had a dream last night where my wife had her interview. For some reason I was in the interview also. In this dream interview she got denied, because the interviewer thought I was feeding her answers and some how doing translations telepathically. To make it even stranger, the denial wasn't spoken by the interviewer, but displayed on a computer screen next to her on another desk and came in the form of Visa Journey forum post that actually had one of the members here posting the results.

I've been daydreaming about my oath ceremony since probably a year ago, specially because I had a few family members and friends that got their citizenship last year.

I also knowing I'm a month away to be done with the USCIS makes me happy and incredible anxious...

But I can see myself not sleeping days before my interview

It should be my wife worrying about all this, it is her citizenship after all! How did I get wrangled into worrying about it? My wife is a sneaky one

My wife learned all the answers to the test within a week of applying. She didn't practice for a while and now she's afraid she's forgotten the answers, even though every time I question her, she gets them all. So I guess she has enough to worry about
