Hey guys, I had my fingerprint appointment today. By the way, my case was a little weird and complicated. I had my ROC interview 4 days ago on march 21st. It was like a stokes interview. We were seperated and were asked questions extensively. About 30 questions were asked. We totally matched everyone of them. We are living together, duh. If you live together, you will know them, unless you are absent minded. Anyways, today I received a letter. We are approved. I am really happy. If your marriage is legit, you won't have an issue. So now, looking forward to citizenship. But I have a question. Will we go through the same extensive questioning on N-400 interview? We were petrified, because we have heard so many bad things about stokes interviews. So I don't know what we should expect in N-400 interview. Any thoughts?

I've never heard of anyone being Stoked for citizenship. If they don't find a problem in the background check, it should be routine answer the question and answer interview.

Not sure why one would even need to be stoked for citizenship, since the spouse isn't really involved at that point.

Adjustment of Status from H-1B, Family-Based
07/26/2012 - 10/18/2012: 85 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Removal of Conditions
07/22/2014 - 11/14/2014: 116 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Naturalization
02/03/2016 - 05/31/2016 : 119 Days from Application Received to Oath Ceremony.

Our case is a little complicated as well, and we went through quite the interview process to get his K-3 visa, a lot of the same questions during his greencard interview, and I was still really nervous about his applying for citizenship. So we hired a lawyer even though I could do the N-400 paperwork myself, and he and his office assure me (over and over again :)) that the N-400 interview should not be an issue.... that we have already gone thru the hard part. I am skeptically optimistic.. :) Hope this helps!

05/05 - Entered US
10/3 - Mailed I-485 and I-765
10/14 - NOA1 for AOS and I-765.
10/22 - I-485 Biometrics NOA received, appt 11/15
10/27 - Touched on both I-485 and I-765.
10/31 - I-765 Biometrics NOA dated 10/24. Appt on 11/29 at 12PM.
11/15 - Biometrics for I-485 and I-765 done on same day.
11/16 & 27 - Case "touched" on bcis.gov.
12/7 - EAD approval by e-mail. Card is on its way. Thank you Lord!!
12/12 - Received EAD.
1/9/06 - Applied for SSN. Received 1/17
3/30 - Got our AOS Interview notice!! Interview date 5/31
5/31/06 - Permanent residency granted! Passport stamped IR6. God is so faithful!

2/2/16 - Mailed in N-400 paperwork

2/10/16 - Received text that N-400 paperwork was received.

2/16/16 - Text that fingerprint appointment has been scheduled.

3/1/16 - Biometrics interview, Naperville, IL

3/11/16 - E-notice that case is in line for an interview

7/8/16 - Text/site updated that Interview date has been assigned

7/14/16 - Received letter dated 7/11 with interview date on 8/11
8/11/16 - Interview, given paper that said passed test but no decision can be made at this time.

10/18/16 - Received text, status online updated to say oath ceremony has been scheduled!!!!

12/26/2017 (Tuesday) NOA-1 (I-797C) was received.

06/07/2018 (Thursday) NOA-2 was APPROVED. 172 days.

06/11/2018 (Monday) NOA-2 was delivered by USPS to my home address.

06/22/2018 (Friday) Our case was sent to the U.S. Department of State (DOS) for visa processing (NVC)

07/27/2018 (Friday) NVC welcome letter with Case number and Invoice ID number was received by email. (51 days from NOA 2 and 225 days total)

07/27/2018-07/31/2018 NVC website was down

07/31/2018 Fees paid.

08/08/2018 ALL forms and documents were submitted (uploaded) to NVC website.

08/14/2018 CASE COMPLETED (DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED)

09/19/2018 Got email with VISA INTERVIEW DATE

its been almost a month since my fingerprinting, and I still have not received my in-line email. Is that normal ?

It is normal. Some guys are waiting from 1 and up to 10 months.

I did my fingerprints same day as you march 1st and just got in-line email today so pretty much a month. You will probably get something soon

US Citizenship

February 2, 2016 - Package mailed

February 8,2016 - Credit card charged

February 9, 2016 - NOA1

March 1, 2016 - Biometrics Appt

March 29, 2016 - In Line for interview

April 1, 2016 - Interview Scheduled

April 4, 2016 - Interview letter received in the mail

May 10, 2016 - Interview Day! (Approved)

June 8, 2016 - Oath Ceremony
