Hopefully I did this right! Updating AlmostMex's Interview letter and interview date :) We were notified by text at 5pm on Friday 7/8 that interview date had been scheduled. Letter came yesterday 7/14/16 with a letter date of 7/11/16, with an interview date of 8/11/16. I thought it was interesting that the letter must not have been printed until the following Monday morning after we got the Interview scheduled text. Our lawyer also didn't receive the automated email that we were assigned an interview date until yesterday (the day we actually received the letter in the mail) - not sure what is up with that. One step closer!

05/05 - Entered US
10/3 - Mailed I-485 and I-765
10/14 - NOA1 for AOS and I-765.
10/22 - I-485 Biometrics NOA received, appt 11/15
10/27 - Touched on both I-485 and I-765.
10/31 - I-765 Biometrics NOA dated 10/24. Appt on 11/29 at 12PM.
11/15 - Biometrics for I-485 and I-765 done on same day.
11/16 & 27 - Case "touched" on bcis.gov.
12/7 - EAD approval by e-mail. Card is on its way. Thank you Lord!!
12/12 - Received EAD.
1/9/06 - Applied for SSN. Received 1/17
3/30 - Got our AOS Interview notice!! Interview date 5/31
5/31/06 - Permanent residency granted! Passport stamped IR6. God is so faithful!

2/2/16 - Mailed in N-400 paperwork

2/10/16 - Received text that N-400 paperwork was received.

2/16/16 - Text that fingerprint appointment has been scheduled.

3/1/16 - Biometrics interview, Naperville, IL

3/11/16 - E-notice that case is in line for an interview

7/8/16 - Text/site updated that Interview date has been assigned

7/14/16 - Received letter dated 7/11 with interview date on 8/11
8/11/16 - Interview, given paper that said passed test but no decision can be made at this time.

10/18/16 - Received text, status online updated to say oath ceremony has been scheduled!!!!

Hey Guys, Need you opinion. My wife has interview 3 weeks ago. They asks her to send additional documents showing we live together. we sent the evidence same day by overnight mail.

we have not heard back anything its 3 week going to 4th.

Shall I open Infopass? Did any of you encounter similar Issue?

I will say you wait 4 - 6 weeks before anything. Classic USCIS always take their time to get anything done. I wouldn't worry much yet.

Exactly four weeks after my interview, got an update - oath ceremony notice mailed.

02/05/2013: AOS Package Received (Day 1)

02/11/2013: Received NOA texts/emails (Day 7)

02/13/2013: Received NOA by mail (Day 9)

02/16/2013: Received Biometric Appointment letter (Day 12)

02/19/2013: Completed Biometrics (Walk-In) (Day 15)

02/27/2013: Status Updated to Testing and Interview (23)

03/14/2013: Electronic Notice for Interview by April 16 (Day 38)

03/16/2013: Received Interview Appointment by mail for April 16 (Day 40)

Hey guys I wanted to let you all know that my status just changed and it says that my oath ceremony will be scheduled. Good luck to you all. I will let you know when the letter arrives. I also wanted to highlight that it took just 10 days for them to make a desicion after I got " a desicion could not be made yet" after the interview. Good luck to all of you!

The airline may not allow you to board the plane if you have a Round trip ticket and you do not present a visa to comeback, the Italian passport by itself doesn't prove your ability to comeback, the airline employee may oversee that and let you board the plane, but if he do his job you should not be allowed to board. About the passport once overseas I don't think is a problem, but let see what the experts here have to say, I'm not

I had my ceremony on Wednesday and I have applied for mu US passport on expedited basis.

However, I need to urgently travel overseas on Tuesday and it is clear that my US passport may not be ready.

Will I get into trouble if I travel on my current non-US passport (Italian passport) and let my wife mail the US passport to me and I will come back to the US on the US passport.

Please advise

I agree with rogoerdiaz. I've heard one should always fly with both passports. Some people have their passport stamp to guarantee entry. The thing is that having a round trip and flying back with a different passport can sometimes give you issues with the airline.

You have to fly with both passport only if you are flying to/from your second citizenship country ( for example Venezuela, in our case) from and to any other country you are able to fly with your US passport only

You can get your US passport in one day if you go to a Passport agency with proof of international travel. Keep in mind that it's against the law for a US citizen to travel overseas without his US passport.

Apparently they do one more background check before they can stamp the file approved and their system was down so he could not approve me.

Saying that he said I should receive my oath letter within a few days.
