Thank you for thinking of us!!! We actually finally got a text about 20 minutes ago that the interview is finally scheduled!!! Now to study, study, study and try to be patient waiting for the letter to find out the actual date! :) Just excited to be one step closer! (Sorry for all the exclamation points, I am excited!! :))

05/05 - Entered US
10/3 - Mailed I-485 and I-765
10/14 - NOA1 for AOS and I-765.
10/22 - I-485 Biometrics NOA received, appt 11/15
10/27 - Touched on both I-485 and I-765.
10/31 - I-765 Biometrics NOA dated 10/24. Appt on 11/29 at 12PM.
11/15 - Biometrics for I-485 and I-765 done on same day.
11/16 & 27 - Case "touched" on bcis.gov.
12/7 - EAD approval by e-mail. Card is on its way. Thank you Lord!!
12/12 - Received EAD.
1/9/06 - Applied for SSN. Received 1/17
3/30 - Got our AOS Interview notice!! Interview date 5/31
5/31/06 - Permanent residency granted! Passport stamped IR6. God is so faithful!

2/2/16 - Mailed in N-400 paperwork

2/10/16 - Received text that N-400 paperwork was received.

2/16/16 - Text that fingerprint appointment has been scheduled.

3/1/16 - Biometrics interview, Naperville, IL

3/11/16 - E-notice that case is in line for an interview

7/8/16 - Text/site updated that Interview date has been assigned

7/14/16 - Received letter dated 7/11 with interview date on 8/11
8/11/16 - Interview, given paper that said passed test but no decision can be made at this time.

10/18/16 - Received text, status online updated to say oath ceremony has been scheduled!!!!

OMG you have been waiting In Line since 03/11. I was placed In Line 1 day earlier (on 03/10) and I was naturalized 3 weeks ago.

Why did it take so long for you?

But anyway congrats for status update.

I really have no idea why it took so long! Our lawyer called at my request at the beginning of May and were told to just wait and all was normal with our case but they were still processing last year's applications.... I was starting to suspect that we were placed in line without the background check being done, but really who knows? Just thankful we are one step closer! :):dancing:

I am getting pretty nervous now my interview is on the 18th, did you all get nervous too? or is it just me.

Another question it asks for the originals of divorce notices but I only have copies do you think that will be an issue.

You'll be fine! My wife's biggest fear was the English but I don't think that will be an issue for you.

As for the originals, it wasn't a divorce decree, but my wife took the original of my birth certificate with her as requested in the letter, but the IO never asked to see it. The worst that can happen is that your IO will want to see it and you will be given an RFE. It most likely won't be brought up - about the divorce decree, nor about your current spouse's citizenship doc originals. You'll probably be asked at least a few questions about your current spouse though, if you filed under the 3-year rule.

Thanks for your reply, yep English should be ok lol. I have my spouses original birth certificate so that should be good if they ask for it, I have copies of divorce papers so hopefully that will be ok if they even ask for them. I have supplied them so many times since the start of immigration. Its a bit late in the process to now not accept copies.

Martinda's N-400 Application for Naturalization was recommended for approval yesterday!

Here's a short summary of yesterday's interview at the San Francisco USCIS building:

Arrived about 20 minutes before the scheduled 9:30a interview, which began on time, if not a few minutes early. The swearing-in was followed by the civics questions:

1) What is one promise you make when you become a United States citizen?
2) Who is the governor of your state now?
3) What movement tried to end racial discrimination?
4) Where is the Statue of Liberty?
5) Name two national US holidays.
6) Who is the "Father of Our Country?"

Then write something like "American Indians live(d) here first." (Wasn't asked to read anything in English.)

The USCIS officer then began going over the N-400 application by confirming name, address, SSN, etc. This was followed by some questions about home, work, spouse, travel, speeding ticket, etc. After the list of Yes/No questions, some documents were signed. For the record, no request was made for any additional documents (e.g., most recent (2015 tax year) IRS tax return transcript).

Then the USCIS officer mentioned that the Oath Ceremony will be in Oakland. (This fact was already seen in the oath/passport application package that was handed out at check-in time.) At this point, it was requested, if possible, that the Oath Ceremony be scheduled for mid-August, at the earliest, due to some scheduled upcoming extended travel. The officer said that would not be a problem and made a note of the request.

The entire interview took maybe 20 minutes.

Do you guys get any updates from St.Paul MN field office, I am a March 2016 Filer with St.Paul MN. Everyone else on Arizona Lock box got interview scheduled for March 2016 filers.

Do you guys get any updates from St.Paul MN field office, I am a March 2016 Filer with St.Paul MN. Everyone else on Arizona Lock box got interview scheduled for March 2016 filers.

This is probably more of a question for the NYC folks, but I was wondering how important it was to have a State issued ID for the interview (as listed in the required documents). Living in NYC I don't have a need for a driver's license but I do have a city issued NYC ID, which has my photo and lists my current address. I'm curious how critical a State Issued ID is when I already have a passport, green card, city ID, tax form etc. If any one has any insight please let me know!

12/18/2017 (Monday) PRIORITY DATE

12/20/2017 (Wednesday) Received text and email that my case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Texas Service Center for processing

12/21/2017 (Thursday) Check was cashed. NOA-1 (I-797C) was sent to me by USCIS via USPS.

12/26/2017 (Tuesday) NOA-1 (I-797C) was received.

06/07/2018 (Thursday) NOA-2 was APPROVED. 172 days.

06/11/2018 (Monday) NOA-2 was delivered by USPS to my home address.

06/22/2018 (Friday) Our case was sent to the U.S. Department of State (DOS) for visa processing (NVC)

07/27/2018 (Friday) NVC welcome letter with Case number and Invoice ID number was received by email. (51 days from NOA 2 and 225 days total)

07/27/2018-07/31/2018 NVC website was down

07/31/2018 Fees paid.

08/08/2018 ALL forms and documents were submitted (uploaded) to NVC website.

08/14/2018 CASE COMPLETED (DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED)

09/19/2018 Got email with VISA INTERVIEW DATE
